A groundbreaking ceremony signaled the start of work on a $54 million, seven-story parking garage near Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge.

The garage will sit in an area once earmarked for a Minor League Baseball stadium built eventually in Fredericksburg in 2019. The garage will serve as a transit hub in eastern Prince William County, replacing the nearby OmniRide transit center as a central bus transfer point.

Authorities said there’s still no trace of a woman who went missing from Woodbridge in December 2022.

Amber Seats disappeared from a house in the 1200 block of Bell View Road, behind Marumsuco Plaza in Woodbridge on December 15. According to the Black and Missing Foundation, Inc., Seats had been talking with family in California in the days leading up to her disappearance.

Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center is rolling out a new policy that requires visitors to show a government-issued ID and have their photo taken when they visit the hospital in Woodbridge.

The new Visitor Badging System (VBS) is now in effect for all visitors entering the hospital at 2300 Opitz Boulevard.

Daquan Artis Tinker is guilty of attempted aggravated murder, aggravated malicious wounding, two robbery charges, and four firearm use in the commission of a felony in a 2019 shooting and robbery in Woodbridge, the Prince William County Commonwealth Attorney’s Office states in a press release.

Robbery Investigation – On March 15 at 3:03PM, officers responded to the 7-Eleven located at 13304 Occoquan Rd. in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a robbery. The investigation revealed an unknown man, later identified as the accused, entered the store, and took bottles of alcohol off the shelf. As the accused approached the service counter, he threatened the employee before walking out of the store with the unpaid bottles. As officers were responding to the store, they observed the accused walking on Occoquan Rd. and detained him. While investigating the incident, officers determined earlier in the day, the accused had robbed the store in a similar manner. At no time during the encounter, did the accused have any physical contact with the employee. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Jarelle Rashod LITTLES, was arrested.
