Prince William County Government: “Perfekt Blend is the next act slated for the Fridays at 5 Concert series, which is scheduled for this Friday, June 16, at the Sean T. Connaughton Plaza at the McCoart Government Center, 1 County Complex Court in Woodbridge.”

“Jaynel Jones, founder and lead singer with Perfekt Blend, said the band will bring something for everyone to enjoy.”

Prince William police: “Brandishing a Firearm | Road Rage Related – On June 9 at 6:56PM, officers responded to the area of Potomac Club Pkwy and Richmond Hwy. in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a brandishing. The investigation revealed the victim, a 21-year-old woman, was driving in the above area when she was involved in a road rage incident with the driver of a dark-colored Hyundai Sonata. During the incident, the driver brandished a firearm towards the victim before driving away. At no point during the encounter were shots fired. The suspect was described as a white male, approximately 40 years old with brown hair.”

Prince William police: “Attempted Malicious Wounding by a caustic substance – On June 7 at 7:51PM, officers responded to the Food Lion located at 14641 Richmond Hwy. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an assault.”

“The investigation revealed the victim, a 20-year-old man, was gathering shopping carts in the parking lot when a verbal altercation with an unknown man, later identified as the accused, escalated. During the encounter, the accused attempted to light a spray canister on fire as he sprayed the contents towards the victim.”

Prince William County Government: “Prince William County is closer to constructing the one-mile segment of the Potomac Heritage National Scenic Trail through the Featherstone National Wildlife Refuge in North Woodbridge, connecting the Rippon VRE station to Veteran Memorial Park.

“On Tuesday, the Board of County Supervisors authorized the transfer, budget and appropriation of $1.3 million from general-use proffer funding, $825,000 in Transient Occupancy Tax Fund [hotel taxes] (dedicated for transportation), and $500,000 from the COVID-19 American Rescue Plan Act. The new funding will supplement a Federal Land Access Program grant already awarded to the county for the project.”

Makya Little, 41, is running in a June 20 Primary Election to be the Democrat nominated by her party to run for the newly-created 19th District Virginia House of Delegates seat. The seat has no incumbent. Little has two Primary opponents, Natalie Shorter, and Rozia Henson.

The district leans strongly toward Democrats and includes a portion of Woodbridge in Prince William County and a portion of southern Fairfax County. Find your polling place.
