Deputies from the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office intervened in a teen suicide attempt on Wednesday afternoon.

On January 17 at 2:30 p.m., deputies responded to a distress call from a teenager contacting the suicide crisis hotline. Rushing to an undisclosed school in south Stafford, they found the juvenile hanging from playground equipment with a belt around his neck.

Drugs

On 1/15, 7:34 p.m., Deputy E.T. Osborn responded to a disturbance at Walgreens, 50 White Oak Road. A male acting strangely was wanted out of Spotsylvania. During arrest, drug paraphernalia and a suspected controlled substance (claimed to be Viagra) were found. The suspect faced charges and was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail.

Stafford sheriff’s office: “An Ohio man who thought he could outrun the police in North Stafford last night ended up just as disappointed as Dallas Cowboys fans this morning. On January 14th at 10:32 p.m. Deputy J.W. Ahern attempted to stop a Toyota Sequoia on westbound Garrisonville Road near Eustace Road for not having any rear lights. Instead of stopping for the minor traffic violation, the driver conducted a U-turn and accelerated eastbound on Garrisonville Road, initiating a pursuit.”

“The suspect sped up to 85 mph before turning left onto Center Street and then right onto Barrett Heights Road. Deputy Ahern provided updates to other deputies in the area as the suspect sped up to nearly 80 mph and turned right onto Onville Road toward Garrisonville Road.”

Stafford County Sheriff’s Office: “Two Stafford teenagers are lucky to be alive after a serious DUI crash Thursday morning.”

“On January 10th at approximately 2:30 a.m. Sergeant M.E. Gordon, Deputy D.S. Jett, and Deputy M.A. Holub responded to the area of Plantation Drive and Newcastle Place for an auto accident. Communication Officers received a crash notification before a female called in advising everything was “all good” and the crash was minor. When deputies arrived, they discovered just the opposite, a vehicle was overturned in a ditch. Luckily, all occupants were able to exit the vehicle with only minor injuries.”

Stafford County Sheriff’s Office: “On January 11th at approximately 12:34 p.m. Deputy J.A. Brooks responded to Walmart, located at 11 Village Parkway, for a report of a larceny.”

“Staff advised two suspects walked out of the store with multiple electronic devices. During their not so great escape, the suspect vehicle Hulk-smashed into another customer’s vehicle. Luckily, staff was able to provide a great description of the suspect vehicle and its license plate. Using the superpower of technology, Deputy Brooks used his radio to broadcast the suspect vehicle’s description to nearby units.”

Woodbridge Senior High School administrators kept students inside today as police searched Lake Ridge for a killer.

A school division spokeswoman told Potomac Local News that eight Prince William County Public schools in the Lake Ridge area were placed into a secure-the-building status today for more than an hour due to police activity.

Deputies were called to White Oak Road, near the Virginia Virginia Department of Transportation Residency, just after midnight Saturday, December 30, 2023, to find a man suffering multiple gunshot wounds.

Emergency crews took the unidentified 33-year-old victim of King George to a hospital, where he died. Police have still not released his name.
