A 14-year-old boy was robbed at gunpoint while playing basketball in Woodbridge. The incident occurred on October 21 at 3:40 PM in the 14900 block of Enterprise Ln. The victim and a friend were approached by two males, who took the victim’s backpack. When the victim tried to retrieve it, one suspect displayed a firearm. Both suspects fled the scene. No injuries were reported.

Later that evening, at 11:18 PM, shots were fired at the Red Roof Inn on Automotive Dr in Manassas. A confrontation occurred between a man and someone in a silver sedan. All parties left before police arrived, and no injuries or property damage were reported. Shell casings were found at the scene.

“The independent review into the fatal officer-involved shooting that occurred on July 17, 2025, in the area of Garza Way and Potomac Mills Cir in the Woodbridge area of Prince William County involving members of the Prince William County Police Department has been completed,” Prince William County Police announced. “After a thorough evaluation, Amy Ashworth determined that no charges will be sought against the officer involved.”

A California man died early Saturday morning after his tractor-trailer veered off Prince William Parkway in Manassas.

Police say Jatinder Chauhan, 35, of Turlock, California, was driving a 2022 Mack Anthem truck eastbound on Prince William Parkway near Hansen Farm Road (formerly Balls Ford Road) about 4:45 a.m. on October 12 when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a guardrail. The truck came to a stop a short distance later.

A 45-year-old woman is charged with indecent exposure at the Bayvue Apartments in Woodbridge.

On October 5, security reported a resident walking through the building, exposing herself, police said. Officers attempted to speak with her, but she refused to cooperate. An arrest warrant was obtained, and she was taken into custody the following day after resisting arrest. No injuries were reported.

A 31-year-old man from Woodbridge was charged after attempting to assault a law enforcement officer at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center. The incident occurred on September 29 when officers responded to a report of an individual threatening staff at the hospital.

Upon arrival, the man attempted to charge at an officer and later tried to strike the officer while being detained. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident. The man was subsequently taken into custody and charged with attempted assault and battery on a law enforcement officer.

A missing 34-year-old man’s body was discovered in Powells Creek near Dyers Mill Ct in Woodbridge.

Officers responded to the area on September 27 after information from an investigation led them to the location. The man had been reported missing and endangered on September 25. Preliminary findings show no signs of foul play, and the body was sent for an autopsy to determine the cause of death. Authorities assure there is no threat to the community.

A 35-year-old man was charged in connection with an attempted malicious wounding incident that occurred on September 20 near Manassas. The suspect, who had been sought by police, turned himself in without incident. He faces multiple charges, including attempted malicious wounding, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

In a separate incident, a 31-year-old man was arrested for assaulting law enforcement and medical personnel in Woodbridge. The accused became combative during a medical call, striking two medics and attempting to bite a police officer.


Prince William

BRISTOW, Va. – Fourteen new Prince William County Police officers and one Sheriff’s Deputy graduated from the county’s Criminal Justice Academy on September 24 during a ceremony at Grace Life Community Church in Bristow.

The 15 recruits completed a 24-week course covering everything from firearms and patrol tactics to legal training and crash investigations. Graduates will now begin patrol assignments across the county, with officers deployed in eastern, central, and western Prince William.


Prince William

Two 18-year-old men have been arrested in connection with the September 13 murder of a Fredericksburg man in Woodbridge. Prince William County Police say two men were taken into custody days after the deadly shooting in the 13700 block of Telegraph Road.

Investigators say the suspects were involved in a fight with the victim, 35-year-old David Kapay Kallo. When the confrontation ended and Kallo attempted to walk away, he was shot. A second man nearby was also struck by gunfire but survived, police said.

In Triangle, a 24-year-old man was arrested in connection with a shots-fired incident on August 30. Police say Dalonte Lee Kendall exchanged gunfire with others near Graham Park and Old Triangle Roads, striking two nearby homes. He was arrested in Baltimore by U.S. Marshals and faces firearms charges. The investigation remains active.

In Stafford County, deputies made multiple arrests related to outstanding warrants. One woman turned herself in at the Rappahannock Regional Jail and was charged with public intoxication after appearing under the influence of an unknown substance. A man wanted in Spotsylvania was also arrested at America’s Best Value Inn.
