Prince William County detectives with the Violent Crimes Bureau are continuing their efforts to identify and locate the suspect or suspects involved in the fatal shooting of a 44-year-old man that occurred in the area of Morgan Court and Old Triangle Road in Dumfries on November 12 shortly after 5:30 a.m.
Police found the victim, Demetrious Levar Graham, 44, of Woodbridge, in the driver’s seat of a vehicle, after police responded to the area for multiple reports of shots being fired. Video surveillance captured the armed male suspect wearing no shirt with his face covered walking along the sidewalk. The suspect is then seen firing multiple rounds towards the man’s vehicle as it drove by.
More than 1,400 people attended the second-annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony organized by the Stafford County Government.
The ceremony took place outside the county’s courthouse, at 1300 Courthouse Road, on Friday, December 2, 2022. The event also featured live performances, and a European-style Christmas market.

The Interstate 95 northbound off-ramp to Route 17 (Falmouth/Warrenton) in Stafford County will close at 7 p.m. tonight, Dec. 7 and construction work will resume on I-95 northbound between exits 130 (Route 3) in the City of Fredericksburg and exit 136 (Centreport Parkway) in Stafford County.
With the off-ramp closure, northbound travelers seeking Route 17 will be detoured to use exit 136 (Centreport Parkway). Drivers should use the most convenient alternate route depending on their final destination.
A woman suffered life-threatening burns at a home in Bristow on Tuesday, December 6, 2022.
At 10:31 p.m., fire and rescue units were dispatched to the 10000 block of Twin Leaf Drive for a reported house fire with injuries. Crews arrived to find one adult male and one adult female with burn injuries.

Marine Corps Historic Half Events include the half marathon (13.1 miles), the Semper 5ive (5 miles) and the Devil Dog Double, a combo of the two events for a total of 18.1 miles. All three events are returning to Fredericksburg, Virginia to run live and in-person on May 21, 2023. A virtual option is also available.

On December 4, 2022 at 1:15 a.m., Manassas City Police responded to a collision near the intersection of Tudor Oaks Dr. and Signal Hill Rd., in the City of Manassas. Upon police arrival it was discovered that a vehicle struck a light pole and then fled the scene in an unknown direction. The suspect was described by a witness as a heavyset Hispanic Male wearing a white shirt and driving a silver compact sedan with front end damage and a flat tire.
