On Thursday, January 5, at 10:18 a.m., officers responded to Fannie Fitzgerald Elementary School, located at 15500 Benita Fitzgerald Drive in Dale City, to investigate an assault. The investigation revealed on Wednesday, January 4, during class, an eight-year-old male student was struck by his teacher, identified as the accused.
The student reported the incident to a family member, who notified the school the following day when police were contacted. The victim reported minor injuries. Police identified the suspect on January 9. At the time of the incident, the accused was a Prince William County Public Schools teacher.

On Sunday, January 8 at 4:32 p.m., officers responded to the area of Kahns Road and Dark Forest Drive near Manassas to investigate a single-vehicle crash.
The investigation revealed the driver of a 2022 Honda CRV was traveling southbound on Kahns Road when the vehicle left the roadway and traveled down an embankment through a ravine up and a second embankment before coming to rest in a ditch after crossing Dark Forest Drive.

Supervisor Victor Angry says he wants to restore trust in residents and elected officials in Prince William County.
Today, Angry, 54, told PLN he'd seek a second term on the Board of County Supervisors. Voters in Dale City first elected him in 2019 to represent the Neabsco District to complete the term of the late John Jenkins. Voters reelected him later that year to his first full term, which began in 2020.

Just after 2 p.m., Friday, January 6, 2022, police reported officers were called to the 1400 block of Dillion Avenue in Dale City for a shooting report. They found a victim suffering a gunshot wound to the upper body.
