A 45-year-old man faces charges after a woman was stabbed multiple times inside of her home.

At  10:06 p.m. Monday, January 31  officers responded to a went to a home in the 12200 block of Allspice Court in Lake Ridge for a report of a domestic disturbance. According to the caller, someone inside the home was armed with a weapon.

[Updated 4:30 p.m.] Dominion Energy held a virtual meeting to discuss the removal of a coal ash plant near the Possum Point Power Station near Dumfries.

The meeting was conducted by Dominion Projects Director Spencer Adkins, who made a presentation to discuss the possibility of creating a new landfill for coal ash that came from Possum Point during its time as a coal-powered plant, from the late 1940s to 2003.


A box truck overturned at the Stafford County line today.

Stafford fire and rescue crews and sheriff’s deputies went to the crash on Route 1 at the Prince William County/Stafford County line, near Quantico.


Indecent Exposure | Sexual Assault – On January 19 at 4:10PM, officers responded to Ollie’s located at 8351 Sudley Rd. in Manassas (20109) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 23-year-old woman, reported to police that she was inside the business when an unknown man, later identified as the accused, touched her inappropriately as he walked by her.

The victim continued shopping and observed the accused follow her throughout the store. A short time later, the victim observed the accused exposing himself and making inappropriate gestures towards her and her 1-year-old daughter.


The Prince William County School Board Chairman is speaking out a day after we reported police charged a middle school student with assault after a girl in his class told her parents he inappropriately touched her.

Jeffery Darr, the girl’s father, spoke during citizen’s time during the School Board meeting Wednesday, January 19, and said the boy touched his daughter over the clothes. During his speech, he said authorities within the school division told him they did not consider what happened to his daughter’s sexual assault because the touching occurred over clothes.

Jeffery Darr held back tears at a county School Board meeting on Wednesday, January 19, as he pressed elected officials to respond on what was being done to protect students.


County officials canceled the in-person portion of a meeting tonight to solicit feedback on plans to build more data centers. The meeting will be live streamed via this link, county officials said. According to officials, they’re no longer allowing residents to sign up to speak during the meeting.

Prince William County Planning Director Rebecca Horner blamed the cancelation on inclement weather and provided a web link for poeple to view the meeting online and submit questions. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. The event will also be recorded.
