On Thursday, June 23 at 2:07 a.m, Prince William County police officers responded to the Exxon service station located at 7113 Sudley Road near Manassas to investigate shoplifting.

The investigation revealed a patron, later identified as the accused, entered the store, and attempted to purchase alcohol. When the employee informed the accused the sale could not be completed, a struggle ensued over the alcohol, police said.

On June 21 at 7:30 p.m., officers responded to a home in the 7700 block of Gateshead Lane near Manassas to investigate a report of a missing adult. The man was eventually located at an area hospital after being taken by rescue personnel earlier in the day.

Shortly before 2 o’clock that afternoon, the accused was determined to be under the influence of medications mixed with alcohol when he fired multiple rounds inside the home, police said.


Crews arrived on the scene and discovered fire showing to the rear of the home, spreading up into the attic. No injuries were reported.

The home sustained extensive damage and was posted unsafe to occupy by the Building Official. The Red Cross assisted the two adults and three children displaced.


GreenDrop celebrated the grand opening of its new donation center in the Braemar Village Plaza in Bristow. The company invited local community members to drop off gently used clothing and household items at its new donation center.

All donations will be converted into critical funds benefiting GreenDrop’s nonprofit partners, the American Red Cross, Military Order of the Purple Heart Service Foundation, and the National Federation of the Blind.

Two political heavy hitters will appear this week in Woodbridge.

Today, Texas Senator Ted Cruz will stump for Yesli Vega, who is running for the GOP nomination in Virginia’s 7th Congressional District. Cruz ran for president in 2016 and stumped during the trucker convoy protests that came to the region earlier this year.


The driver of a 2016 Ford Focus was traveling westbound on Old Bridge Road, just past Cape Cod Court, when the vehicle left the roadway and drove onto the sidewalk where the vehicle then struck a pedestrian who was walking his dog.

The vehicle continued traveling before it struck a communications box and a power pole, causing the pole to snap and fall into the roadway. Officers and bystanders provided first aid to the pedestrian until rescue personnel arrived.
