Volunteer Prince William needs Volunteer Drivers age 21+ who can provide transportation for veterans and their spouse/widow to medical appointments, supermarkets, retail and houses of worship. Volunteers must pass criminal background and driving record background checks, have a valid Virginia driver’s license, and have a vehicle liability insurance policy. You’ll feel great as you make new friends while providing transportation to veterans who otherwise struggle to have their daily and medical needs met! Two Northern Virginia Community College Campuses in Prince William County will be renovated.
At the college’s Woodbridge campus, renovations will begin on the Seefeldt Building, a 144,000-square-foot center that opened in 1972 and has served as the campus’s central building, housing administration, classrooms, counseling services, and theater.

This year’s theme, “A View of the Promised Land,” inspired Prince William area students in grades 6-12 to write and present their views on the life and impact of Dr. King’s legacy. The January 16 program will not only showcase six dynamic student orators from Prince William County and Manassas Park it will also feature the MLK Community Choir, students K-12.
The audience will also have an opportunity to vote for their favorite middle school and high school orator using a special text-to-vote feature while watching the program.
Police are searching for a man who robbed a Woodbridge bank.
Yesterday, Wednesday, January 11, at 2:09 p.m., officers responded to the Truist Bank located at 16541 River Ridge Boulevard, just off Route 1 in Woodbridge to investigate a robbery.
On December 18, the children of the Linden family let out Samus, an 11 year-old, female German Shepherd, and forgot to put on the electric fence collar. The family noticed she had gone missing and assumed she would return home.
That night, a bystander found Samus and shortly she was brought over to the Prince William County Animal Shelter. The shelter staff kept Samus overnight, and in the morning called the family after scanning for a microchip. On the afternoon of December 19, she was picked up and brought home.
