Greetings, Prince William – Educate America, Inc, a nonprofit startup, is seeking volunteers ages 18+ to assist with providing after-school tutoring and mentoring services within five (5) to ten (10) Prince William County Public Schools during the Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 school year. Volunteer with Educate America and make a difference in the lives of underserved youth! Your time and expertise can positively impact the academic success and personal development of our youth—contributing to brighter futures for the next generation. Prince William Police Department incident report: On April 21 at 10:10 p.m., crash investigators responded to the Red Roof Inn located at 10610 Automotive Drive in Manassas to investigate a hit-and-run crash.

The investigation revealed the victim, a 51-year-old man, and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a physical altercation in the parking lot of the motel.


On Friday, May 10, Dumfries will celebrate the 275th anniversary of the original charter for Dumfries. 

The festivities will begin May 10 with a sold-out black-tie dinner at the National Museum for the Marine Corps. The dinner will have keynote speeches by local dignitaries, historical presentations on Dumfries’ intriguing history as a port town, and a commemorative program. The keynote speaker has yet to be announced.  


Merianne Jensen, the newly appointed Vice Chair of the Prince William County Republican Committee, discussed her journey into politics and outlined her plans to invigorate the local Republican Party and secure victories in upcoming elections.

Police were called to a fatal hit-and-run incident on April 24 at 10:19 p.m., near Route 1 Pine Bluff Drive near Dumfries.

The crash involved a motorcycle. According to the Prince William police, the operator of a 2023 Kawasaki Ninja 400R was speeding southbound on Route 1 toward Pine Bluff Dr. Meanwhile, a 2020 Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck traveling northbound on Richmond Highway entered the intersection, crossing the motorcycle’s path.


Prince William County’s Board of Supervisors easily approved the fiscal year 2025 budget with a few changes on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, to take effect on July 1.

We are writing to inform you that graffiti including antisemitic symbols were found on school grounds at both Benton Middle School and Coles Elementary School. We have no reason to believe our schools or students are in any danger. However, we are committed to ensuring a safe and secure environment.
