An adult and two children had to escape the fire through a window before the units arrived. The fire was extinguished quickly. The adult was transported to a nearby medical facility with a non-life-threatening injury.
The home sustained significant damage and was declared unsafe to occupy by the Town of Dumfries Building Official. The Red Cross is assisting the displaced residents, which include one adult and two children.
Police are searching for four people who broke into a home on Sterling Point Drive in Gainesville. Investigators have clear pictures of them, and they’re asking for your help to find the suspects described below.

Located at 3085 Golansky Boulevard in Woodbridge, the Lose It Rage Room caters to a wide range of customers, from those looking to relieve stress to those seeking a fun and unconventional way to spend time with friends. The owners did not respond to a request for comment for this story; however, according to their FAQ page, the rage room experience is designed to be therapeutic and exhilarating, allowing participants to smash items such as glass bottles, electronics, and even furniture.

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On July 3 at 11:41PM, officers responded to Pointer Ln. near Portsmouth Rd. in Manassas (20109) to investigate an individual throwing missiles at vehicles. Upon arriving in the area, officers observed a woman, later identified as the accused, in the intersection holding a section of concrete. When officers detained the accused, she actively resisted and struck two officers before being placed inside a police vehicle. Officers determined the accused damaged multiple parked vehicles prior to their arrival on scene. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Kimberly SIERRA-OVANDO, was arrested.
The woman was in the water while a child stood on the shore and called for help. The caller told 9-1-1 operators the woman was floating out into the river, away from the shoreline. At 2:37 p.m., a fisherman picked up the woman in his boat and brought her to safety.
During the incident, the woman was accompanied by a child on the shore. The child watched as the fisherman rescued the woman from the water.
