The July 17, 2023, letter to the editor seems to assert that because I do not agree with policies that some constituents put forward, I am being uncivil. Civility has to do with the way we communicate and treat each other as people, not our policies. 

For those who have watched the Board of County Supervisors meetings, it will be recognized that I have almost always acted civilly to staff and public speakers.  I say almost because there was one instance when a public speaker put up a picture of me that included my daughter, and that crossed a line for me, which I hope is relatable to every parent out there.

Press Release: “Our Dumfries, Triangle, Quantico (DTQ) Little League Senior All-Stars Team achieved a remarkable feat yesterday as they were crowned the Virginia State Champions.”

“This victory marks their triumphant return to the Little League Southeast Region for the first time since 2016, where they will proudly represent the state of Virginia. The SouthEast tournament will take place in Safety Harbour, Florida, from July 22 to July 26, 2023.”


“The U.S. General Services Administration said Friday it has updated the site selection plan for the new FBI headquarters site to increase the consideration of cost to taxpayers and to reflect the Biden administration’s commitment to sustainability and equity.”

Prine William County Police: “Felony Indecent Exposure | Sexual Assault – On July 13 at 1:32PM, officers responded to the 6200 block of Token Forest Dr. in Manassas (20112) to investigate an assault.”

“The investigation revealed the victim, a 23-year-old woman, walked into a parking lot when a vehicle pulled in behind her. An unknown man without pants, later identified as the accused, got out of the vehicle, and approached the victim.”

Fredericksburg Nationals: “The Greenjackets blasted three home runs in a 6-2 win over Fredericksburg in the first game of the week.”

“After a scoreless first inning, Augusta drew first blood in the bottom of the second. Andrew Keck roped a one-out double into left field, then Jose Dilone followed with a double of his own to give the Greenjackets a one run lead.”
