The Manassas City Council unanimously approved a franchise agreement with Avports, LLC, to bring commercial passenger jet service to the city’s regional airport.

“The E-911 Center dispatched patrol officers to the incident. The initial arriving officer quickly located the offender and ordered him to drop the knife. The offender ignored the officer’s commands and charged the officer with the knife. The officer discharged his firearm, striking the offender.”

“Additional officers arrived and immediately rendered life-saving measures to the offender until medics arrived. EMS transported him to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The offender was identified as Taylor Drew, 34, of Stafford County. His next of kin has been notified.”<

“REACH Homeschool was presented two awards for their efforts to prevent teen driver-related crashes, fatalities, and injuries. A student from REACH and the YOVASO club sponsor, were also recognized for their ongoing support of YOVASO and youth traffic safety initiatives.”

“Congress passed the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) reauthorization bill in 2016. This law included language that required the U.S. Secretary of Transportation to establish a policy — if appropriate — requiring airlines to seat young children with their family members on flights without charging them additional fees. However, families across the country continue to be separated from their children during air travel.”
