Greetings, Prince William – Jenkins-Donelson Foundation, a nonprofit which provides food and essentials to those in need, will be holding a Community Giveaway on Sunday, March 27, 1pm-4pm at Juke Box Diner, 8637 Sudley Road in Manassas. Volunteers are needed 10am-5pm to help set up, offload items from trucks and assist attendees with selections.  You’ll feel great as you help vulnerable local residents select much-needed clothing and food for their families!  Please email Carolyn at [email protected] to learn more.

On March 11 at 6:59 p.m., Deputy C.M. Sterne went to a Walmart at 11 Village Parkway in Stafford County for a report of a pedestrian struck by an SUV. The deputy learned a 70-year-old pedestrian was pushing a shopping cart in the parking lot, when an SUV struck her.

Emergency crews took the woman to a hospital with serious injuries.

Prince William County announced the dates and times for the 2022 commencement ceremonies for all county high schools.

According to the county school division, should inclement waeather force the postponement of a graduation ceremony, a make up will event will take place on Saturday, June 11, 2022.

The Prince William County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.  will host an event coordinated by the EMBODI (Empowering Males to Build Opportunities for Developing Independence) Committee focusing on the special challenges faced and awareness needed by young black men.

In Prince William County, the average homeowner would pay about $250 more in Real Estate taxes in the coming year.

Two intersections in Occoquan are about to become safer for pedestrians.

Crews will begin installing ADA-compliant ramps and crosswalks at Mill, Washington, and Ellicott Streets. According to Mayor Earnie Porta, these projects are largely grant-funded and are being coordinated on behalf of the town by Prince William County.
