Many ubiquitous products used in homes, yards, and garages contain hazardous ingredients. When disposed of improperly, these items can pose harm to humans, animals, or the environment.
Proper identification, safe handling, appropriate use, and safe disposal are all important considerations for household hazardous waste items, a Prince William County landfill spokeswoman states.

Blues musician Bobby BlackHat and his band will replace Mark G. Meadows, a Stevie Wonder tribute band, who had been scheduled to perform during the show slated for Saturday, July 2. The fireworks show is rescheduled for Sunday, July 10. Meadows was unable to make the rain-date performance.

On July 4 at 9:01 p.m., deputies went to a call for gunshots on Kings Crest Drive in the Potomac Hills neighborhood in North Stafford.
When they arrived, they too heard gunshots coming from the woods. Deputies told the suspects to put down the gun and the suspects fled the scene, states Stafford sheriff’s spokesman Ryan Wilbur.
On July 2, officers concluded the investigation into the brandishing that was reported to have occurred near the intersection of Dumfries and Spriggs roads near Manassas on April 19.
On April 19, the victim, an 18- year-old man, told police that he was involved in a road rage incident with the driver of a red Chevy Impala while driving on Dumfries Road. The two vehicles were next to each other when the driver of the Impala brandished a firearm, police said.
