Police believe speed was a factor in the crash involving three vehicles at 1:20 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, at Minnieville and Smoketown roads in Woodbridge.
According to a police press release, the driver of a 2009 Mercedes E350, driven by a 59-year-old man of Woodbridge, was traveling south on Minnieville Road approaching Smoketown Road when the driver disregarded a red traffic signal and proceeded into the intersection where the vehicle collided with a 2016 Toyota Highlander, driven by a 64-year-old woman of Woodbridge, that was traveling eastbound on Smoketown Road through the intersection.

Starting at 9 p.m. on both nights, crews will begin closing lanes for the work. Drivers are encouraged to find an alternative route.
In Stafford, crews will stop all I-95 northbound traffic intermittently between midnight and 3 a.m. for bridge demolition of the American Legion Road bridge near the county airport. The work is part of extending the E-ZPass Express Lanes from Garrisonville Road to Route 17.
A car left the roadway and careened into a backyard, where it hit a tree.
The car was traveling on Mine Road when it veered off of the four-lane road and crashed into a tree in the yard of a home on Alder Drive and eventually rested on a bank. No one was seriously injured.
Swimming pools across the region are looking for lifeguards.
In Prince William County, the parks and recreation division will seeks 400 guards to work at r six pools and two waterparks. The lifeguards will work between 25 and 30, with a $13.78 an hour starting pay.

A homeowner confronted a man who broke into his home, police said.
Manassas police were called to a burglary in progress on Thursday, April 7, 2022, at 11 p.m., in the 8600 block of Liberia Avenue. According to police, the suspect broke a glass door and entered the home, where the homeowner confronted him.
