Manassas police said he used stolen credit cards to purchase items from shops in the city. Meanwhile, a search for a second suspect continues.
On May 14, 2023 Manassas City Police responded to the 9500 block of Liberia Ave. (Fresh World), in the City of Manassas, for a report of two male subjects trying to purchase items with stolen credit cards. Upon police arrival an officer was assaulted (no injuries) by one of the suspects while trying to detain them.

The two southernmost entry points to the northbound 95 Express Lanes, near Courthouse Road and Garrisonville Road, will be closed to travelers on Tuesday, May 16, and again on Wednesday, May 17, between midnight and 4 a.m.
According to Transurban, which maintains the Express Lanes, the closures are necessary for overhead sign installation as part of the Fred Ex project. The I-95 Express Lanes are regularly closed between midnight and 2 a.m. on weeknights for southbound to northbound reversals.

Crews found heavy smoke from the front and heavy fire from the rear of a single-family residence. Crews quickly began working to extinguish the fire. The fire was brought under control in 20 minutes.
The four occupants could get out before the arrival of the units, and none reported injuries. The occupants were first alerted when they heard a noise in the house, and then the smoke alarms sounded.

Ribbon cuttings for new recreation equipment were recently held along the Rappahannock River Heritage Trail and in Memorial Park, thanks to the generosity of local organizations, businesses, and individuals.
New outdoor fitness equipment is now available along the Heritage Trail. This trailside fitness gym includes five stations designed to help with strength, flexibility, core, balance, and agility.
