Camille La Vie at Potomac Mills mall donated 10 dresses from their bridal collection to the military, first responders, and healthcare workers.

The donation event took place on Thursday, November 10, in honor of Veterans Day. Prices ranged from $500 to $1000, and styles from ballgowns, mermaid, a-line, and tiered bridal gowns.


Updated 12:45 p.m. — Rosie’s Gaming Emporium will honor those who have served our country on Veterans Day, Friday, November 11.

Activities include a campaign to recognize active and retired military friends of Rosie’s and offerings at all Rosie’s locations. The gaming room plans to give away $5 in free play, a lapel pin gift, an R’ Burger and World’s Greatest Fries for $5, and a Veterans Rosie’s Rewards Card.

Newcomers and opera aficionados might appreciate Mason Opera’s production of Gian Carlo Menotti’s Amahl and the Night Visitors.

A perennial favorite since its 1951 debut, this holiday favorite was the first opera specifically composed for television in the U.S. Featuring Mason’s talented vocal students in collaboration with an instrumental chamber ensemble, these live, in-person performances will showcase the vocal skill and dramatic ability and deeply immerse the audience in the action of the story.


The Prince William County government will honor its veterans tomorrow, Thursday, November 10, 2022, in Woodbridge.

The county will hold a ceremony at its Liberty Memorial fountain at the county government center, 1 County Complex Court, just off Prince William Parkway. Board of Supervisors Chair Ann Wheeler says the event begins at 9:30 a.m.

The 13th annual Northern Virginia Veterans Day Parade occurred in Manassas on Saturday, November 5, 2022.

This year the parade salutes two local heroes as grand marshals: retired U.S. Army Colonel Ulysses Xerxes “Xerk” White and World War II Nurse Elizabeth Lewis. Dedicated to honoring America’s military and their families, this parade pays tribute to veterans’ services and inspires patriotic awareness.
