Route 3 eastbound and westbound have reopened in Spotsylvania County between Orange Plank Road and Elys Ford Road/Old Plank Road. The detours have been lifted.

“The City of Fredericksburg invites residents and business owners to attend a public meeting on Thursday, November 13, 2025, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Fredericksburg Visitor Center, 601 Caroline Street,” City of Fredericksburg announced. “This community meeting will provide an opportunity for the public to share feedback on the ongoing Downtown Traffic Engineering Study, which aims to improve safety, traffic flow, and accessibility throughout the downtown area.”
City staff and the project consultant will present updates on the study’s findings and gather input as the team works to finalize project scopes, cost estimates, and phasing plans. Participants may drop in any time during the meeting to review materials, ask questions, and provide comments.
A confrontation in a Fredericksburg parking lot escalated when a young white male reportedly brandished a firearm after a traffic-related dispute. The incident occurred November 8 on the 2200 block of Carl D. Silver Parkway.
Also on November 8, police responded to a report of vehicle tampering on Princess Anne Street, where someone found their car rummaged through and signs of forced entry near the window. On Sag Harbor Lane, packages were reported stolen from a residence.
“The cost of remodeling that school … would be almost equivalent to building a whole new school,” School Board Chair Babur Lateef told the Prince William Times. “The new schools offer students a state-of-the-art learning environment with modern classrooms, updated safety features, and innovative instructional spaces designed for current and future learning needs.”

“We sincerely thank all our wonderful players, amazing parents, and fantastic volunteers for their participation and support in 2025,” The Miracle League of Prince William County stated. “In 2026, we will be celebrating five years of the Miracle League program and are excited about what the future of the program holds.”
Board members are currently collecting donations and developing sponsorships for the league, with more updates expected after the start of 2026. The organization also announced it will again partner with the Washington Nationals Baseball Club’s Team Up Program. Opening Day for the 2026 Spring Miracle League season is Saturday, April 11, with two games each Saturday—8:45 to 9:45 a.m. and 10 to 11 a.m.—through May 16. Player registration begins in December.
Guests can sip on coffee, hot chocolate, and enjoy pastries available for purchase while taking in the crisp autumn air and colorful foliage around the park. The free rides will be held at Signal Hill Park in Manassas Park.

The Decluttering Workshop will take place Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Dorothy Hart Community Center. Open to ages 14 and up, registration costs $15 for residents and $20 for non-residents.
