The Count Me In scholarship Program is provided by the Prince William County Parks Foundation and Prince William County Parks, Recreation & Tourism. Scholarships are available to eligible families who reside in Prince William County.

A driver was charged with eluding and several other offenses after a low-speed pursuit in North Stafford.

On May 11 at 2:37 a.m., Deputy S.C. Jett went to a Red Roof Inn at 153 Garrisonville Road to report a suspicious person. A witness said a man was slumped over in a black Infiniti sedan parked next to dumpsters.

Police officers making a 300-mile ride from Raliegh to Washington D.C. passed through our area on Wednesday.

The officers traveled north on Route 1, first stopping at the Ford T. Humphrey Public Safety Building (public safety center) in Stafford County and later at the National Museum of the Marine Corps at Quantico, where officers dismounted and did push-ups outside the museum.

On Saturday, May 14, Congresswoman Abigail Spanberger (D) will open her campaign headquarters in Fredericksburg.

Spanberger is running for reelection to keep her seat in the newly-redrawn 7th Congressional District, which no longer includes her home outside Richmond. The Democrat has held the seat since 2018.

The city will host a table with information about the bike lane network at a Farmers Market this Saturday, May 14, at the commuter parking lot at 9024 Prince William Street. The market is open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
