During his presentation, Keen highlighted several key achievements from the previous fiscal year, including the successful establishment of businesses like Micron and Olde Towne Inn and the commemoration of Manassas’ 150th anniversary. He also referenced the findings of the 2022 Manassas Community Survey, which informed the strategic priorities outlined in the proposed budget.

The incident, which occurred on February 26 at 7:50 a.m., prompted law enforcement response to a residence in Dale City. A female victim, awakened by the accused wielding a knife in her room, endured a sexual assault.

Fuller Road and Fuller Heights Road improvement project completed

Among its notable features, the project boasts a newly added right-turn lane along Joplin Road leading to northbound U.S. 1, alongside a realigned Fuller Heights Road intersection. This realignment facilitates north and southbound access through the incorporation of a roundabout at the intersection of Fuller Heights Road and Old Triangle Road.

Deshundra Jefferson, Chair At-Large of the Board of County Supervisors, expressed gratitude towards the various entities involved in making the project a reality. “You guys have really done an amazing job with this,” remarked Jefferson during the ribbon-cutting ceremony. “I’m proud to say that these road improvements are a significant step in moving Prince William towards our strategic goal by easing congestion and improving mobility in the Triangle area for residents, local businesses, and our military facilities.”

Obituary: Evelyn S Molinari (1940-2023)

Evelyn Scott Molinari, “Evie,” was born January 23, 1940, in “the District of Columbia” and died December 12, 2023, in Fort Collins, Colorado. Daughter of Arnold Eden Scott and Dorothy Hewlett Conway, Evie was the youngest of three children and was lovingly referred to as “Baby Sister.” Evie spent the majority of her life in northern Virginia, primarily in Arlington and Alexandria.

She attended high school at Saint Mary’s Academy in Alexandria, Virginia, and was a proud alum gathering with her “Sisters of Kiawah” for a yearly reunion in South Carolina. After high school, she prepared for a career as a secretary until she met a dashing young Navy Lieutenant on a blind date on December 31, 1960. Patrick Molinari Sr. (Pat) the love of Evie’s life; as she always told the story, “I didn’t know how I was going to make him mine, but I was going to do it!” True to her word, Pat proposed on their third date. The two were married in November 1961 and welcomed their first child Lynn in June, 1963, sons Patrick, Jr., and Scott were born in September 1964 and June 1967.

STARS study proposes changes at key intersections on Dale Blvd. at I-95

The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) invites public feedback on a series of proposed roadway improvements in Dale City and Woodbridge as part of its Strategically Targeted Affordable Roadway Solutions (STARS) study. The study focuses on enhancing traffic flow and safety along a stretch of road from Dale Boulevard, across Route 1, to Blackburn Road. This initiative addresses the growing concerns over pedestrian safety and traffic congestion in one of Northern Virginia’s bustling regions.

The STARS study area encompasses nearly two miles, assessing potential improvements on Dale Boulevard (Route 784) from Gideon Drive to Route 1, and Rippon Boulevard (Route 1392) from Route 1 to Blackburn Road. With traffic volumes averaging about 44,000 vehicles per day on Dale Boulevard and 14,000 on Rippon Boulevard, the need for strategic enhancements has become increasingly apparent.
