Jonathan Matthew Campbell, 37, was arrested and charged on June 22 by Prince William County Police following an investigation into sexual assaults reported to have occurred between February 2015 and February 2016.

In the daily incident report released by Prince William County, the investigation reported the accuser, who was under 13 years old at the time of the offenses, was sexually assaulted more than once by Campbell, who she knew. The investigation revealed two other girls under 13 were sexually assaulted between January 2018 and April 2019.

David Keller, Sally’s son, said he grew up going sailing with his mother because it was a long-standing family tradition; Sally’s uncle had a 46-foot sailboat and her husband had a 17-foot sailboat that they often sailed on the Potomac River, the Chesapeake Bay and the Patuxent River.

“Mom would see the boat in the background and always said, ‘I want to go on your boat,'” David recalled. “[It was] probably not the world’s safest idea.”

Mayor Michelle Davis-Younger is kicking off the third year of her mid-day summer meet-ups on Friday at noon, this time at the newly renovated Manassas Museum.

The meet-ups kick off Friday and will run through Aug. 30. They will be held on the patio of the Museum from noon to 1 p.m., but may me moved inside depending on the weather.

1:40 p.m. Wednesday, July 10 – Police have identified the woman previously pictured with the suspects to be a hospital employee who was not involved in the shooting. Prince William County Police have released a new photo array of the suspects, pictured above.

9:15 a.m. Wednesday, July 10 – Police have arrested three in connection to a double shooting at Manassas Mall. One of them, a 23-year-old man, remains hospitalized. He was injured during an altercation between men outside the mall.

Prince William County has begun hosting Fire and Life Safety Pop-Up events for residents to learn important safety precautions, and the next one is on Saturday, July 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Williams Elementary School (3100 Panther Pride Drive) in Dumfries.

The Prince William County Fire & Rescue department is teaming up with the Building Code Enforcement, Emergency Management, other county agencies and community-based organizations to bring these events to residents.

The Manassas Museum will host a lecture on Saturday, July 13, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., focusing on the critically acclaimed book, “Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents” by Isabel Wilkerson.

The lecture will delve into the themes explored in Wilkerson’s book, which examines historical social hierarchies and how perpetuating this dehumanizes vast sections of society. The book emphasizes that caste is not solely about race or class, but about power — who holds it and who does not.

Darius Lamont Chisley, 49, of Warrenton, was arrested and charged Thursday after a stabbing at the Rosemary Ridge Apartments in Manassas.

Chisley is accused of stabbing a 45-year-old man after a verbal altercation, a Prince William County Police Department release stated. He has been charged with aggravated malicious wounding and his court date is pending.
