Prince William County Public Schools: “Third-grade students at Occoquan Elementary School took home a big prize in the Michael & Sons jingle contest.”

“This annual competition is open to students from Maryland, North Carolina, Virginia, and Washington D.C. This year, there were almost 50 elementary schools that entered. Judging was based off social media engagement – likes, shares, and comments, with each one counting as one vote.”

Prince William County Police Department: Aggravated Malicious Wounding | Domestic Related – “On July 11 at 9:32 PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 7400 block of Boundary Ave. in Manassas (20111) to investigate a shooting.”

“Upon arrival, officers located the victim, a 66-year-old man, suffering from a gunshot wound and immediately provided first aid until fire and rescue personnel arrived on the scene. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he is expected to recover.”

Prince William County Police Department: Strong-Arm Robbery on School Grounds *ARRESTS – “The two remaining suspects sought in connection to the robbery that was reported to have occurred at Freedom High School located at 15201 Neabsco Mills Rd. in Woodbridge (22191) on June 14, were arrested.”

“The suspect, identified as Jerome Okine AMARTEY, was taken into custody on July 6 and the other suspect, identified as a 17-year-old male juvenile, was taken into custody on July 10, both without incident.”

Witnesses described the Defendant’s vehicle as swerving in and out of his lane of travel, almost striking other vehicles, before veering to the right and leaving the roadway.”

Stafford County Sheriff’s Office: “On July 8th at 2:16 a.m. Sergeant K.P. Lytle was assisting another deputy with a DUI investigation at the divergent diamond of Courthouse Road when he observed a Chevy Cruz turn westbound into the eastbound lanes. Sgt. Lytle ran back to his patrol car and conducted a traffic stop on the wayward driver near the I-95 South off-ramp.”

“The driver was identified as a 42-year-old male from Stafford and had slurred speech and glassy eyes. There was also the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the Chevy. Sgt. Lytle obtained the suspect’s information and returned to his patrol car to await his back-up unit, Deputy R.T. Philippsen.”
