“Yesterday at 6:48 p.m. Deputy Martins responded to a residence in Ferry Farms for a slithering suspect stuck in a storage area. She arrived to find Elvhiss Presley attached to a glue trap that had been left by the home’s former tenants.”

“Sergeant J.W. Hutcheson located the weaving vehicle and conducted a traffic stop as Deputy S. Waheed responded to assist. The driver had glassy eyes, the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his breath, and admitted to consuming ‘a little bit’ of alcohol.”

Staff found a dollar bill in the lobby only to unroll it to discover it coated in suspected controlled substances. Any recent residents that dropped their drugs, Deputy J.A. Brooks seized it and is more than willing to meet you.”

LARCENY: Plantation Drive, 7/30, 4:41 p.m. Fraudulent Foe. The victim had his credit cards for his Taco Bell run last night; however, realized today it was gone without a trace. Later, he received notification of fraudulent activity for his cards and froze his accounts. Deputy C.M. Sterne is investigating.”

Prince William County Police Department: Death Investigation *UPDATE – On July 31, detectives received preliminary results from the Medical Examiner’s Office regarding the death of a 44-year-old man that occurred at a residence located in the 15300 block of Holly Hills Drive in Dumfries on July 29. The preliminary findings indicate the man died from blunt force trauma to the upper body as a result of being struck by a tree that fell onto the home during a severe weather incident. The manner of death is preliminarily classified as an accident. The final determinations of both cause and manner of death will be pending the completed report by the Medical Examiner’s Office in the coming months. Identified: The deceased was identified as Kenneth Allan LEE Jr., 44, of Dumfries.”

Death Investigation [Previously Released] – On July 29 at 5:48 p.m., officers responded to a residence located in the 15300 block of Holly Hills Drive in Dumfries to investigate a death, possibly related to severe weather. The investigation revealed the victim, a 44-year-old man, was inside his residence when a tree fell onto the home. Additional family members who were also inside the home at the time were not injured and contacted emergency services. The victim was pronounced dead on scene. The cause of death has not confirmed, pending an autopsy by the Medical Examiner’s Office.”

FRAUD: Frasier Drive, 7/26, 9:45 a.m. Deputy C.M. Ramirez responded to a scam. The victim advised he was attempting to sell vehicle parts on Facebook when an interested party reached out.”

Stafford County: “The Environmental Division at Stafford County has been facilitating a stream restoration project at St. Clair Brooks Memorial Park to help prevent erosion. The stream restoration began major construction activities in March 2023.”

“The efforts in the restoration will reduce the amount of sediment and pollutants by arresting the rate of erosion within the channel. The project aims to improve water quality; reestablish a connection between the stream and its natural floodplain; provide better aquatic habitat; and deliver an aesthetically pleasing recreational site for nearby park and disc golf visitors.”
