STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. – Drivers in Stafford County will soon pay more if their cars are towed from private property.
The Board of Supervisors on Sept. 16 unanimously approved an ordinance aligning county towing fees with a new state law that took effect July 1. The change raises the maximum charge for private-property towing from $135 to $210.
FREDERICKSBURG, Va. — A Spotsylvania man died after the car he was driving rear-ended a dump truck at a Fredericksburg intersection on Sunday, Sept. 14, 2025, around 8:09 p.m., police said.
Fredericksburg police identified the driver as Christopher Hlusko, 39, of Spotsylvania. He was driving a 2011 Mitsubishi Galant when it struck the back of a dump truck that had stopped for a red light and begun moving when the signal turned green, according to police.
The folks at the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office just told Potomac Local News that the crash happened around 5:40 p.m. on September 14, in the 6800 block of Courthouse Road. Deputies say a 2022 Tesla X crossed the double yellow line and slammed into a 2024 Hyundai Tucson.
The driver of the Hyundai, 76-year-old Donna Pinnell of Goochland, died at the scene. Her family has been notified.
