On Monday, March 14, the suspect sought in connection to the hit-and-run crash in the 2000 block of Cumberland Drive in Woodbridge one day earlier was arrested.

Woodbridge residents will learn more about a new apartment complex expected to open at the end of the year.

The Woodbridge Potomac Communities Civic Association will hold its monthly Zoom call at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 17, when they’ll learn more about the Landing at Mason’s Bridge Apartments on Annapolis Way.

On March 13 at 5:26 a.m., officers went to the 2000 block of Cumberland Drive in the Marsumsco Hills section of Woodbridge for a hit-and-run crash.

The investigation revealed that a 2008 Audi A4 driver struck two unoccupied parked vehicles, a 2020 Toyota Corolla and a 2016 Ford F350. The Audi was rendered inoperable due to significant damage sustained during the crash.

A Woodbridge man was held with bond on charges he sexually assaulted two children who lived in his home.

On March 9, detectives with the Special Victims Bureau, in coordination with Child Protective Services (CPS), began an investigation into a sexual assault that was reported to have occurred at a home in Woodbridge on March 8.

On Saturday, March 5 at 11:20 p.m., police went to a home located in the 14400 block of Lamar Road in Woodbridge to investigate a shots fired call.

A resident said they saw a green laser light shining into the living room before hearing a loud noise followed by the sound of glass shattering. A bullet shattered the home’s glass front door, said police.
