“Beginning at 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7, Occoquan Road (Route 906) between Horner Road (Route 639) and Old Bridge Road (Route 641) will be closed to through traffic for approximately two weeks,” the Virginia Department of Transportation announced. “The closure is required to lower Occoquan Road to maintain future bridge clearance as part of the I-95 and Route 123 interchange improvements project.”

Traffic

“The southbound-running 95 Express Lanes will be closed between the exit for Dale Boulevard (Route 784) and the exit for Route 234 (Dumfries/Manassas) for Neabsco Creek bridge-related geotechnical work,” the Virginia Department of Transportation announced. “The full closure will take place from 10 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, to 1 a.m. Friday, Oct. 31, weather permitting.”

“During the closure, the Opitz Boulevard ramp and the southbound I-95 general purpose lanes ramp to the southbound 95 Express Lanes will also be closed,” VDOT stated. “Traffic will be diverted to the southbound I-95 general purpose lanes via the flyover ramp providing access to the Dale Boulevard interchange.”

“Detectives are asking anyone who may have witnessed suspicious vehicles or activity in the area of Minnieville Rd between the PW Pkwy and Dale Blvd, including side streets, on the morning of Oct. 20… to contact police,” the Prince William County Police Department stated.

“On October 20 at 12:12PM, officers responded to the 14700 block of Dodson Dr in Woodbridge to investigate a robbery. The investigation revealed a United States Postal Service carrier was delivering mail… when their vehicle was approached by an unknown masked man who implied he was armed. The suspect took several packages from the truck before leaving the area in an older white sedan,” police said.

“The independent review into the fatal officer-involved shooting that occurred on July 17, 2025, in the area of Garza Way and Potomac Mills Cir in the Woodbridge area of Prince William County involving members of the Prince William County Police Department has been completed,” Prince William County Police announced. “After a thorough evaluation, Amy Ashworth determined that no charges will be sought against the officer involved.”

The Harbour Grille in Woodbridge will offer free meals to veterans and active-duty military on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, as part of a regional Veterans Day celebration hosted by the Lewis Restaurant Group. The event runs from noon to 8 p.m.

Located at 13188 Marina Way, The Harbour Grille offers waterfront dining along the Occoquan River. The restaurant is known for its seafood dishes, dockside ambiance, and weekend live music. It’s one of several participating locations across Northern Virginia and Washington, D.C., including Barley Mac, Crafthouse, and Stan’s DC.


Prince William

Prince William County leaders cut the ribbon Wednesday morning on the Regional Crisis Receiving Center (CRC) — a long-anticipated mental health facility designed to give residents immediate access to behavioral health care, day or night.

Governor Glenn Youngkin joined local officials, state partners, and community advocates in Woodbridge for the ceremony outside the newly renovated building on Worth Avenue, near Potomac Mills. The governor, who previously toured the site in May 2023, called the opening “one of the most major milestones in the transformation of behavioral health, not just in the Commonwealth, but across the nation.”


Police Blotter

A 45-year-old woman is charged with indecent exposure at the Bayvue Apartments in Woodbridge.

On October 5, security reported a resident walking through the building, exposing herself, police said. Officers attempted to speak with her, but she refused to cooperate. An arrest warrant was obtained, and she was taken into custody the following day after resisting arrest. No injuries were reported.
