Students from Potomac High School in Woodbridge visited Emerald Ironworks on Wednesday, November 16, to get a closer look at metal fabrication.

The students are part of the Prince William County School division’s career and technical education program, which “offers a wide variety of rigorous and engaging Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs designed to improve academic and technical understanding, offer leadership opportunities and deliver instruction through realistic, hands-on applications.

On Wednesday, November 16, at 11:16 p.m., officers were called to a home 17400 block of Isle Royale Terrace in the Forest Park neighborhood off Van Buren Road near Dumfries to investigate a shooting.

Two adults, a man and woman were shot inside the basement by a man who had forced his way into the residence. A family dog, a male Pitbull mix, inside the home was also shot, police said.

In honor of its nationwide remodel project, Flynn Restaurant Group is awarding the first 100 customers at a Wendy’s restaurant in Manassas who will receive free food for a year.

The restaurant sits at 9680 Liberia Avenue. The first 100 people in line at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 19, 2022, when the dining room opens, will win a VIP ticket for free food for a year with purchase. Renovations will be completed throughout 2022, leaving each restaurant with a fresh, new, and improved look and feel.

Voter Janet Evans did not expect to run into the congresswoman at Lewis and Clark Elementary school in Caroline County. Months earlier, she did not even know much about Spanberger, but redistricting had put Evans on the campaign team’s call list.

“I’m going to be 100% honest with you,” Evans said. “I was totally fangirling when I saw her.”

Prince William police report an indecent exposure that occurred on November 14 at 3:15 p.m.

Officers responded to a Dollar Tree located at 14610 Lee Highway in Gainesville (20155) to investigate an indecent exposure. The investigation revealed an unknown man approached and exposed himself to a female employee in the business.
