Press Release: “Prince William County Commonwealth’s Attorney Amy Ashworth announces the successful prosecution of Cody Dale Davis arising from the February 2, 2021, aggravated malicious wounding of a Dumfries woman.”

“On April 7, 2023, after a three-day trial jury trial and subsequent 10-minute jury deliberation, Mr. Davis was convicted of one count of aggravated malicious wounding. On September 21, 2023, Mr. Davis was sentenced by Judge Willett of the Prince William County Circuit Court to life in prison. The matter was prosecuted by Senior Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney Dircia D. Schubert and Deputy Chief of Staff Kevin L. Leahy.”

Stafford County’s Sheriff Department: “A wanted Stafford man was arrested after a foot pursuit along Garrisonville Road yesterday afternoon. On September 21st at 4:09 p.m. deputies responded to the Red Roof Inn at 153 Garrisonville Road for a suspicious person call.”

“Based on the face tattoos, deputies believed the suspicious person could be Dorian Murphy, 25, who was wanted in both Stafford and Alexandria. Sergeant R.K. Pinkard pulled into the motel parking lot and saw Murphy dart into the wood line. A perimeter was quickly established and K-9 began a track. Deputy S.C. Martin, fresh off his apprehension of a fleeing suspect at the Courthouse, witnessed Murphy running in the area of the Aldi and the net began to close in.”

Prince William Police Department: Malicious Wounding *ARREST – On September 21, one of the suspects sought in connection to the shooting that was reported to have occurred at the Potomac Ridge Apartments located in the 2800 block of Woodmark Drive in Woodbridge on September 20, was arrested. The accused, identified as Haley Shron JACKSON, was taken into custody without incident. Two other suspects, identified as Emmanuel BOATENG and Gideon OWUSU Jr., are still being sought. Arrested on September 21: Haley Shron JACKSON, 36, of 2814 Woodmark Drive in Woodbridge. Charged with accessory after the fact. Court Date: Pending | Bond: Held WITHOUT Bond. Wanted: Emmanuel BOATENG, 34, of the 100 block of Executive Close in Stafford. Described as a black male, approximately 5’11, 200lbs., with black hair and brown eyes. Wanted for malicious wounding, and use of a firearm in commission of a felony.  Gideon OWUSU Jr., 29, of the 16800 block of Flotilla Way in Woodbridge. Described as a black male, approximately 5’11, 220lbs., with black hair and brown eyes. Wanted for accessory after the fact.”

Malicious Wounding [Previously Released] – On September 20 at 10:59 p.m., officers responded to the Potomac Ridge Apartments located in the 2800 block of Woodmark Drive in Woodbridge to investigate a shooting. The investigation revealed, the victim, a 26-year-old man, and two male acquaintances were involved in a verbal altercation inside an apartment which continued in the parking lot where one of the parties retrieved a firearm and fired multiple rounds which ricocheted and struck the victim to the lower body. “On September 21st at approximately 12:06 a.m. a Traffic Safety Volunteer was directing traffic in the area of Garrisonville Road and Keystone Drive as a paving vehicle was conducting their work. The Traffic Safety Volunteer had his marked Sheriff’s Office vehicle’s emergency lights on and he was wearing a reflective vest. Despite this, the suspect vehicle, traveling at a high rate of speed, drove through the intersection and struck the Traffic Safety Volunteer before continuing on.”

Strong-Arm Robbery [Previously Released] – On October 22 at 8:00 p.m., officers responded to the 10900 block of Coverstone Drive in Manassas to investigate a robbery. The victim, an 18-year-old man, reported to police that he was in the area of Aaron Lane and Halterpath Trail to meet an acquaintance when a group of unknown individuals approached him. A verbal altercation ensued before the victim attempted to flee on foot. The suspects chased the victim to the above area where they struck and kicked the victim before taking his property. Eventually the victim was able to separate from suspects and flagged down a passing motorist who drove him out of the area. The victim reported minor injuries. No additional suspect descriptions are available at this time.”

U.S. Department of Justice: “A Woodbridge man was sentenced today to 15 months in prison for conspiring to launder money in relation to romance and investment frauds.”

“According to court documents, from 2014 to March 2019, Ishmael Kayede, 40, conspired and agreed with multiple co-conspirators to launder funds derived from mail or wire fraud schemes, including romance fraud, gold and diamond investment fraud, and other fraud scams.”

Prince William Times: “Prince William County Supervisor Jeanine Lawson on Tuesday held a press conference calling for Pete Candland, her former board colleague, to be investigated for public corruption.”

“Lawson, a Republican who is running for chair of the Prince William Board of County Supervisors in the upcoming Nov. 7 election, shared emails Candland exchanged with a local data center developer to offer his services as a former elected official to help companies “navigate their projects” through Prince William County’s land-use approval process.”

Prince William police: “Murder Investigation – On September 16 at 7:19PM, officers responded to the Summerland Heights Apartments located in the 1800 block of Gableridge Turn in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a shooting. The investigation revealed the victim, a 43-year-old man, and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated on the patio area of a ground level apartment. During the encounter, the accused shot the victim before returning to his own separate apartment in the same building. Responding officers provided first aid to the victim who was transported to an area hospital where he died from his injuries. The accused was located at his apartment by officers and detained without incident. Both parties were known to one another. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Malcom Andre MONTS, was arrested.”

Manassas police: “Aggravated Malicious Wounding: On September 17, 2023, at 3:56 p.m. Manassas City Police responded to the 8800 block of Lane Scott Court for a report of gunfire. When officers arrived, they began to canvas the area and located several shell casings. During the investigation, police located a 17-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound. Injuries appeared to be non-life threatening, and the victim was transported to a local area hospital for medical treatment.

“A 15-year-old male suspect was identified through the investigation and apprehended without incident. A search warrant was conducted on a residence, leading to evidence collection and a firearm.”

Prince William Police Department: Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On September 17 at 11:22 p.m., officers responded to the 1400 block of Cherry Hill Road in Dumfries to investigate a shots fired call. The investigation revealed multiple gunshots were heard in the area. While investigating the incident, officers located shell casings and a gun light. No injuries or property damage were reported.”

Rape Investigation – On September 17 at 11:39 p.m., officers responded to the Linden Park Apartments located in the 3600 block of Jurgensen Drive  in Triangle to investigate a domestic dispute. The investigation revealed the victim, a 43-year-old woman, was sexually assaulted by an acquaintance, identified as the accused, while inside the apartment. The victim was eventually able to separate from the accused and police were contacted. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Daniel ROSAS GONZALEZ, was arrested. Arrested on September 17: Daniel ROSAS GONZALEZ, 28, of the 3600 block of Jurgensen Drive in Triangle. Charged with rape. Court Date: Pending | Bond: Held WITHOUT Bond.”
