Police officers making a 300-mile ride from Raliegh to Washington D.C. passed through our area on Wednesday.

The officers traveled north on Route 1, first stopping at the Ford T. Humphrey Public Safety Building (public safety center) in Stafford County and later at the National Museum of the Marine Corps at Quantico, where officers dismounted and did push-ups outside the museum.


The Prince William Board of County Supervisors on Tuesday voted 4-2 to chase federal funds for what’s called an equitable street project in Woodbridge.

The Prince William County Department of Transportation will hold a virtual information session on the Route 28 Bypass Project.

During this Transportation Tuesday session on May 17 at noon, officials will provide updates on the Route 28 Bypass Project and the progress of Fairfax County’s ongoing Route 28 Widening Project.


However, no women reported being filmed. Prince William police tell us no charges have been filed in the case.

On May 7 at 2:35 p.m., officers went to the Black Sheep Restaurant at 9935 Discovery Boulevard just outside Manassas to investigate a suspicious person. The restaurant manager told police that an employee found a man in the women’s bathroom using a phone under the stall walls to view women in the bathroom.


Hundreds of students across three Prince William County high schools walked out of class on Monday, May 9, in protest of a leaked U.S. Supreme Court decision that, if true, would overturn Roe v. Wade, a 1973 decision mandating legalized abortion in all states.

Students from Brentsville District, Gar-Field, and Osbourn Park high schools in Prince William County walked out of class protesting the leaked decision.

Police are on the scene of a shooting at a Motel 6 in Dumfries, where one person was found suffering gunshot wounds. The unidentified man was taken to a local hospital suffering non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
