On Monday, October 10 at 1:31 a.m., officers responded to the Shell service station located at 17250 Dumfries Road to investigate a suspicious vehicle.
When officers arrived, they approached the vehicle and saw the driver sleeping while exposing himself. Officers made contact with the driver and detained him.

On Monday, October 10, at 11:25 p.m., officers were called to the 14100 block of Richmond Highway, near a Pep Boys store in Woodbridge, to investigate a death. Police got third-party information about the possibility of a body in the woods.
Police checked the area but came up empty. However, they continued to look at other locations nearby and encountered an individual who directed them to a shed behind a business, where they found a man’s body and drug paraphernalia.
As Prince William County Public Schools get closer to passing a collective bargaining agreement, it’s clear how much it will cost taxpayers to allow teachers to wrangle over pay.
“It’s entirely reasonable to expect it will be seven figures,” said school division attorney Wade T. Anderson. Gainesville District School Board member Jennifer Wall pressed him for a a firm estimate, but he couldn’t provide it.
Fire crews were dispatched to Virginia Flooring Supply at 8683 Virginia Meadows Drive in Gainesville for a report of a commercial warehouse structure. When crews arrived, a second alarm was requested due to the conditions and building size, said Prince William fire and rescue Assistant Chief Matt Smolsky.
Crews found the fire was located inside the warehouse and extinguished the flames. The building sustained moderate damage. No injuries were reported.

The unidentified man was trapped inside his 2021 Hyundai Sonata when it overturned in the 1600 block of Horner Road near Kilby Elementary School at about 9:50 p.m. Monday, October 10, 2022.

The Prince William County Landfill, at 14811 Dumfries Road (Route 234) and the Balls Ford Road Compost Facility, at 13000 Balls Ford Road near Manassas will no longer be open on Sundays beginning November 6.
This is a consequence of the ongoing labor shortage – specifically for heavy equipment operators and CDL driver positions. Most employees must work mandatory overtime hours to keep the facility open, according to a statement from Coles District Supervisor Yesli Vega.
On October 7, the School Resource Officer (SRO) assigned to Rippon Middle School, at 15101 Blackburn Road in Woodbridge, concluded an investigation into an assault that occurred in a classroom on September 22.
The investigation revealed during class, a male student made a homophobic slur towards the victim, another 13-year-old male student, before riping and removing the child’s facemask.
