Police and local government officials are preparing for one of the most anticipated public meetings in recent years, as the Board of County Supervisors will decide to allow data centers on 2,100 acres next to Manassas National Battlefield.

It’s the largest land-use case in county history, larger than 150 Walmart Supercenters, and 15 times larger than the area of Potomac Mills mall. It’s also proven to be one of the most contentious, as the meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 1, and will last into the early morning hours of the following day.


A Dunkin Donuts employee was shot multiple times early Friday during a robbery.

The victim was working at the doughnut store at 2201 Old Bridge Road at Tacketts Mill in Lake Ridge when two masked men smashed through a window about 3:30 a.m., held the man at gunpoint, took cash from registers, and then shot him multiple times before fleeing.


Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares said that thousands of voters receiving incorrect voting information is “unacceptable.” Miyares is frustrated with the vendor that made the mistake, said a spokeswoman for his office, Victoria LaCivita.

In three days, elected county leaders will make the most significant land use decision in county history as it weighs the Prince William Digital Gateway.

Opponents of the massive data center project, the county’s most significant land-use case in history, gathered today to urge the Board of County Supervisors to delay its decision expected in the early hours of Wednesday morning, November 2.


An 18-year-old man lost his life in a shooting Thursday night in Woodbridge.

We first reported the shooting, one of two in the area) late Thursday evening. Police said the victim was shot and killed on Route 1 near Todos Supermarket and Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church at 10:24 p.m.


Corey Stewart, a household name in Prince William County politics for 15 years, is pushing a new T.V. ad attacking Democrat Abigail Spanberger. 

It’s the first time Stewart has made a public political statement after he stepped down from the Prince William Board of County Supervisors on December 31, 2019.


The Prince William County Service Authority’s H.L. Mooney Advanced Water Reclamation Facility in Woodbridge has earned the 2022 Facility Maintenance Award from the Virginia Water Environment Association for its Oil Analysis Program.

Lawson and conversationalist groups will rally at Lake Ridge Marina on the Occoquan Reservoir, 12350 Cotton Mill Drive, to urge Supervisors to delay a decision on the controversial Prince William Digital Gateway.
