Prince William fire and rescue: “Last evening (Monday, September 4, 2023, 8:45 PM), units were dispatched for a house fire in the 9200 block of Rainbow Falls Drive (Bristow). Crews arrived with fire showing from the attached garage and spreading further into the home and attic. The fire was quickly brought under control. Two (2) firefighters were treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Both were treated and released from a medical facility. No other injuries were reported. The home sustained significant damage and was posted unsafe to occupy, displacing two (2) adults. The Fire Marshal’s Office determined the fire originated in the garage caused by accidental electrical issues.”


Prince William Police Department:Shooting into an Occupied Vehicle – On August 31 at 8:57 p.m., officers responded to the area of Panther Pride Drive and Harwood Oaks Court in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a shots fired call. The investigation revealed multiple shots were fired before a vehicle was seen quickly leaving the area. While investigating the incident, officers were notified a separate occupied vehicle was struck by the gunfire while driving in the above area and fled prior to contacting the police. While checking the area, officers located shell casings in a parking lot on Harwood Oaks Court. No injuries or additional property damage were reported.”

Carjacking – On August 31 at 10:27 p.m., officers responded to the area of Lightner Road and James Madison Highway in Haymarket (20169) to investigate a carjacking. The investigation revealed the victim, an 18-year-old man, arranged an exchange of vehicles with an unknown man via a social media app. While in the parking lot of the above area, the suspected buyer, and another unknown man, arrived in a vehicle. Prince William fire and rescue: “Earlier this morning, units were dispatched to a townhouse on fire in the 4600 block of Whitaker Place. Crews arrived with fire to the rear of the home extending up into the attic. The fire was quickly brought under control. No injuries were reported. The home sustained major damage, and the Building Official declared the structure unsafe to occupy. The American Red Cross is assisting 2 adults who resided at the address.  The Fire Marshal’s Office stated the fire was electrical in origin and was determined to be accidental.”

Prince William Police Department:Fatal Crash Investigation *DRIVER CHARGED – On August 29, crash investigators charged one of the parties involved in the fatal crash that occurred in the area of Neabsco Mills Road and Smoke Court in Woodbridge (22191) on August 20. The impact of the collision killed a 67-year-old man who was operating a 2018 Yamaha FX 5 moped when it was struck from behind by the vehicle being driven by the accused. Following the investigation, the driver of the 2013 Chevrolet Malibu, identified as Tiffany Lowan RANDOLPH, was charged. Charged on August 29: [No photo available] Tiffany Lowan RANDOLPH, 41, of 9604 Varus Place in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Charged with reckless driving. Court Date: Pending | Status: Charged. Identified: The operator of the 2018 Yamaha FX 5 Moped was identified as Junaid Mahmood QURESHI, 67, of Woodbridge.”

Aggravated Sexual Assault | Attempted Abduction *SUSPECT IDENTIFIED | ARREST – On August 30, 2023, detectives arrested a man sought in connection to the sexual assaults of two girls that were reported to have occurred in the 3800 block of Graham Park Road in Triangle (22172) in May of 2022. While continuing to investigate the incident over the past several months, detectives worked in coordination with Fairfax County police who arrested a man in connection to a sexual battery and abduction incident that occurred in their jurisdiction. Ultimately, Prince William County detectives were able to connect the suspect arrested in Fairfax County to the incidents in Triangle from May of last year. Following the investigation, detectives obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Hien The DINH, who was served on those charges at the Adult Detention Center in Fairfax County where he remains in custody. Charged with 2 counts of aggravated sexual assault and 1 count of attempted abduction with intent to defile. Court Date: Pending | Status: Incarcerated.”
