Prince William County Community Foundation: “The Prince William County Community Foundation (PWCCF) announces the appointment of Monaé Nickerson as the new Chair of the Board of Directors.”

Haymarket Regional Food Pantry: “At a check presentation Nov. 17, I-66 Express Mobility Partners (I-66 EMP), builder and operator of the 66 Express Outside the Beltway, made a donation of $2,000 to the Haymarket Regional Food Pantry (HRFP).”

“The donation, which establishes a new partnership between I-66 EMP and HRFP, will help the local food bank purchase enough fresh milk and eggs to provide its clients with a weeks worth of those nutritious staples this holiday season.”


The Food Services team at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center (SNVMC) in Woodbridge, received the honor as the Regional Account of the Year by Morrison Healthcare in an awards presentation held at the medical center on November 21.

“While investigating the incident, detectives received a tip regarding the location of a vehicle matching the description previously released. Detectives responded to the area provided to police where they located the vehicle and identified the owner who was determined to be the suspect. Following the investigation, the suspect, identified as Ricardio Antonio CHAVARRIA MANJIVAR, was arrested.”

Occoquan Mayor Earine Porta: “Visit River Mill Park in the town of Occoquan on Thursday, December 7, at 5:30 p.m., as our friends from Chabad Lubavitch of Greater Gainesville & Manassas celebrate the first night of Hanukkah by lighting the menorah they generously donated to the town last year. Prince William police: “Attempt to Disarm a Law Enforcement Officer | Attempted Malicious Wounding – On December 5 at 9:51 a.m., officers responded to Potomac Mills located at 2700 Potomac Mills Close in Woodbridge to investigate an assault.”

“The investigation revealed an unknown man, later identified as the accused, was inside the shopping center where he confronted other patrons. During the encounter, the accused struck a 25-year-old man, before grabbing another victim, a 55-year-old woman, and holding a boxcutter to her neck. Eventually, the accused released the female victim and ran into the parking lot where he then got on top of a tractor trailer.


 

Prince William police: “Malicious Wounding on School Grounds – “On December 6 at 7:41 a.m., the School Resource Officer (SRO) assigned to Patriot High School located at 10504 Kettle Run Road in Nokesville was notified of a fight.”

Virginia State Police: “The Virginia State Police is investigating a fatal crash that occurred at approximately 9:06 a.m. this morning, Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2023, on Interstate 95 in Prince William County.”

“The preliminary investigation indicates that a black Toyota Tundra, driven by Lloyd R. Felder, 69, of Triangle, Va., pulled off onto the right, northbound shoulder of I-95 at the 158 mile marker [Prince William Parkway]. Felder then exited his vehicle and stepped into the northbound travel lane where he was struck by an oncoming tractor-trailer.”
