1 teen dies, 2 others OD after using ‘Perc30′ counterfeit Percocet pills containing Fentanyl

Since Dec. 3, 2022, the Prince William County Police Department has responded to three overdoses, one in which was fatal, involving juveniles possibly consuming counterfeit Percocet pills containing the lethal narcotic Fentanyl.

The first incident occurred on December 3 when officers responded to a home in the Manassas area of Prince William County for an unresponsive 17-year-old boy. The family began CPR and administered Narcan as medical services was being contacted; however, the juvenile died.

I-95 bridge update: Traffic shifted onto new river crossing, 60-hour work zone ends

Three northbound travel lanes of Interstate 95 are now crossing a new Rappahannock River bridge between Fredericksburg and Stafford County.

Crews completed work overnight to finish connecting lanes leading to and from the new bridge, wrapping up nearly 60 hours of an extended work zone that started Monday evening.

Police seek info on driver who struck and killed pedestrian on I-66

Virginia State Police are seeking the public’s help locating a vehicle that struck and killed a pedestrian in a work zone on Interstate 66 in Fairfax County on Thursday morning, December 8, 2022.

As the worker was running towards the crash, a third vehicle came through the work zone at a high rate of speed and struck the worker. The vehicle – a maroon passenger vehicle – then fled the scene.

Just-released video surveillance captured armed suspect in Dumfries homicide

Prince William County detectives with the Violent Crimes Bureau are continuing their efforts to identify and locate the suspect or suspects involved in the fatal shooting of a 44-year-old man that occurred in the area of Morgan Court and Old Triangle Road in Dumfries on November 12 shortly after 5:30 a.m.

Police found the victim, Demetrious Levar Graham, 44, of Woodbridge, in the driver’s seat of a vehicle, after police responded to the area for multiple reports of shots being fired. Video surveillance captured the armed male suspect wearing no shirt with his face covered walking along the sidewalk. The suspect is then seen firing multiple rounds towards the man’s vehicle as it drove by.

The ceremony took place outside the county’s courthouse, at 1300 Courthouse Road, on Friday, December 2, 2022. The event also featured live performances, and a European-style Christmas market.

E-ZPass lanes turn 10: Thanksgiving marked busiest travel time in lanes’ history

More than 155,000 customers took the lanes, with nearly one in four traveling for free at least once with an E-ZPass Flex set to HOV mode.

Today’s announcement comes on the heels of 10th Anniversary of the opening of the Lanes in November. In commemoration, Transurban released the annual State of the Lanes polling research that provides insights on how customers continue to value the expanded travel choices of the Lanes as well as a report detailing the significant impact the 495, 95 and 395 Express Lanes have had in transforming the region.

I-95 north off ramp at Route 17 near Fredericksburg closed tonight

The Interstate 95 northbound off-ramp to Route 17 (Falmouth/Warrenton) in Stafford County will close at 7 p.m. tonight, Dec. 7 and construction work will resume on I-95 northbound between exits 130 (Route 3) in the City of Fredericksburg and exit 136 (Centreport Parkway) in Stafford County.

With the off-ramp closure, northbound travelers seeking Route 17 will be detoured to use exit 136 (Centreport Parkway). Drivers should use the most convenient alternate route depending on their final destination.
