Strong-Arm Robbery – On Wednesday, December 7 at 3:53 p.m., officers responded to Kay Jewelers inside Manassas Mall located at 8300 Sudley Rd. in Manassas (20109) to investigate a robbery.

The investigation revealed an unknown man entered the store and requested to try on a piece of jewelry. While the suspect was wearing the jewelry, he pushed two employees before fleeing the store. Neither employee was injured. A police K-9 searched the area for the suspect who was not located.

Abduction | Sexual Assault – On December 7 at 5:05PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 14700 block of Tamarack Pl. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an abduction. The investigation revealed the victim, a 22-year-old woman, made arrangements with the resident of the home, identified as the accused, for massage- services.

While inside the residence, the accused retrieved and began handling a firearm. The accused then sexually assaulted the victim multiple times. At one point, the victim was able to message a friend who contacted the police. Officers made contact with the accused and took him into custody without incident.

This Christmas season marks the debut of the Baby Jesus at the Virginia State Capitol’s historic Bell Tower.

For the first time in memorable history, a Nativity Scene will be displayed on the same property that hosts the Virginia legislature and the governor’s mansion and executive offices, on Friday, December 9, 2022, from 11 a.m. until noon.

Starting at 10 p.m. tonight, December 8, I-95 northbound will be reduced to one lane near exit 133 (Route 17) to exit 136 (Centreport Parkway) in Stafford County.

Between midnight and 3 a.m., December 9, crews will stop all I-95 northbound traffic up to 30 minutes at a time to maneuver large construction equipment within the work zone.

Northern Virginia Electric Cooperative will accept post-holiday cut Christmas trees and greens at its Gainesville technical center at 5399 Wellington Branch Road, near Interstate 66 and Route 29, from Dec. 26, 2022, to Jan. 9, 2023. Consumers should leave greens in the parking lot area designated by orange safety cones.

All greens must be free of all decorations, ornament hooks, wires, and light strings.
