A woman who worked as a firefighter in Virginia has died from injuries she suffered in a crash in July, the Stafford Volunteer Fire Department said. Mia Ethridge, who her department called a “spitfire,” was in fire truck that crashed in July while working as a firefighter/EMT in Louisa County, Virginia for the Louisa County Department of Fire/EMS.

WTTG-TV: “A Marine student assigned to the Marine Corps University – aboard Marine Corps Base Quantico – was found unresponsive in his vehicle over the weekend, officials say.”

“The student was pronounced dead at the scene on Saturday, Sept. 2.”

Prince William

Prince William fire and rescue: “Last evening (Monday, September 4, 2023, 8:45 PM), units were dispatched for a house fire in the 9200 block of Rainbow Falls Drive (Bristow). Crews arrived with fire showing from the attached garage and spreading further into the home and attic. The fire was quickly brought under control. Two (2) firefighters were treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Both were treated and released from a medical facility. No other injuries were reported. The home sustained significant damage and was posted unsafe to occupy, displacing two (2) adults. The Fire Marshal’s Office determined the fire originated in the garage caused by accidental electrical issues.”

On August 30th at 12:25 p.m. Lieutenant D.T. Diggs was traveling southbound on I-95 near the 141 mile-marker when he observed a black Mercedes on the shoulder behind him approaching at a high rate of speed.
