A 21-year-old man was shot and killed during a domestic dispute at an apartment complex in Woodbridge on Monday night, according to Prince William County police. Detectives have obtained arrest warrants for a family member in the case and are asking the public for help locating him.
Separately, a 94-year-old man died from injuries in a crash in Nokesville over the weekend. The driver of a commercial truck was charged with reckless driving.
UVA Health celebrated the opening of a new outpatient imaging center, UVA Health Outpatient Imaging Gainesville, located at 7454 Limestone Drive, Gainesville.
The new center represents a significant step in UVA Health’s ongoing commitment to expanding access to advanced diagnostic services across the region. It joins existing outpatient imaging locations in Centreville and Culpeper, as well as hospital-based imaging services across four UVA Health medical centers, strengthening a growing network designed to meet increasing demand for convenient, patient-centered imaging care.
Marine Corps Base Quantico will conduct live-fire training from July 24 through August 7, 2026, including overnight operations with demolitions under 50 pounds, 60mm and 81mm mortars, missiles, rockets, .50-caliber, 7.62mm and small arms, plus claymore demos, Prince William County Fire and Rescue reported. The Rappahannock Swim League’s divisional championships are underway this weekend at the Jeff Rouse Swim and Sport Center in Stafford, marking the end of the summer season for more than 2,000 young swimmers from Fredericksburg and surrounding counties.
