However, no women reported being filmed. Prince William police tell us no charges have been filed in the case.

On May 7 at 2:35 p.m., officers went to the Black Sheep Restaurant at 9935 Discovery Boulevard just outside Manassas to investigate a suspicious person. The restaurant manager told police that an employee found a man in the women’s bathroom using a phone under the stall walls to view women in the bathroom.


Stafford County Public Schools has named its 2021-2022 Persons of the Year in instructional and service positions. At a dinner held in their honor on Monday, May 9, the following individuals were recognized as a division-wide Persons of the Year:

“I truly believe that every single person serving in education over the last two years is a Person of the Year, and it was truly a difficult decision to recognize the top person in each of these categories,” said SCPS Superintendent Dr. Thomas Taylor. “We have an incredible team of passionate and engaged educators, surrounded by extraordinary support staff that are all invested in supporting our most important resource – our students. I am very proud of this group, and of the entire school division.”


Last night, Manassas honored its volunteers at a ceremony at the Hylton Performing Arts Center.

The 29th Annual Volunteer Recognition Reception began with a dinner buffet at 6 p.m, and then a welcome from City Manager Partick Pate. Following the Pledge of Allegiance recited by Police Cheif Douglas Keen, City Mayor Michelle Davis Younger and City Council members presented awards.

Hundreds of students across three Prince William County high schools walked out of class on Monday, May 9, in protest of a leaked U.S. Supreme Court decision that, if true, would overturn Roe v. Wade, a 1973 decision mandating legalized abortion in all states.

Students from Brentsville District, Gar-Field, and Osbourn Park high schools in Prince William County walked out of class protesting the leaked decision.


An emergency maintenance repair is underway to address erosion along the shoulder of Interstate 95 southbound in Fredericksburg at mile marker 131, requiring an extended lane closure in the area.

VDOT says the erosion is “severe.”
