Delegate Candi Mundon King (D-Prince William, Stafford) introduced two bills in the General Assembly Session that deal with transportation.
The first would cap the total amount of tolls drivers pay on the E-ZPass Express Lanes in the state to $200 per month. The bill would also allow disabled military veterans to use the lanes at no charge.
Stafford County Fire and Rescue rescued a 17-year-old in a sledding accident on the 100 block of Jib Drive, off Hope Road in the eastern area of the county.
The emergency call came in a little after 2:40 p.m. Tuesday, January 16, 2024.
On January 14, 2024, at 4:19 p.m., Manassas City Police responded to a shooting report in the Brentwood neighborhood. A 31-year-old male victim with a gunshot wound to the leg was found near Digges Road and Forum Way.
Officers provided immediate assistance, and the victim was transported to a local hospital.

The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is responding to snowfall over the past 24 hours in the Fredericksburg area and western regions of the Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula. Crews are applying sand and salt to roads, bridges, ramps, and overpasses to enhance traction and minimize icing as pavement temperatures decrease.
Currently, Interstate 95 and primary roads in Fredericksburg and the surrounding district are still clear. However, a VDOT spokeswoman anticipates that this situation will change rapidly as snowfall persists throughout the evening and overnight.
“Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On January 12 at 11:03 a.m., officers responded to the Longview Apartments located in the 13700 block of Lynn Street in Woodbridge to investigate a shots fired call. The investigation revealed a resident of the complex, identified as the accused, retrieved a firearm from his vehicle and brandished it towards a maintenance worker who was in the parking lot. The parties eventually separated. At one point, the accused fired multiple rounds into the air before being detained without incident by arriving officers. No injuries or property damage were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Deandrae Ladale SPRADLEY, was arrested. Arrested on January 12: [No Photo Available] Deandrae Ladale SPRADLEY, 46, of 13711 Lynn Street in Woodbridge. Prince William Police Department: “Commercial Burglary – On January 15 at 8:17 a.m., officers responded to Potomac Mills Mobil Gas located at 14496 Gideon Drive in Woodbridge to investigate a burglary. The investigation revealed sometime between 6:00 p.m. on January 14 and 8:00 a.m. on January 15, entry was forced into the building through a rear bay door and then into the office area and ATM. An undisclosed amount of money and tobacco products were reported missing.”

The music video is a riff on Eminem’s 2002 “Lose Yourself,” in which Taylor is rapping about canceling schools and urging children to enjoy their day off because snow days only happen “once in a while.”

One person was found suffering a gunshot wound at Digges Road near the intersection of Bruton Parish Court, near the Canterbury Village shopping plaza in Manassas, on Sunday, Jan. 14, 2024.
It’s unclear if the victim was found lying on a street or inside a home. Police have released a few details on the case and aren’t expected to release the report until tomorrow, Jan. 16, 2024.
