A routine disturbance call led Stafford County Sheriff’s Deputies to uncover a suspected drug-related bathroom party at the Arby’s located at 418 Garrisonville Road on January 31.
Deputies J.A. Martin and B.E. Vaughn responded to reports of a disturbance at the fast-food establishment around 8:47 p.m. Witnesses reported that two men and a woman, exhibiting erratic behavior, entered the single-use bathroom together, prompting suspicions among the restaurant’s patrons.
Loveless commended the proactive response from the landlord, Rick Whealen, and the dedication of officers like Lt Plourde, stating, “Lt. Plourde constantly walks the beat and always makes a point to pop into the store to ensure all is well. His ‘feet on the street’ approach is a crucial part of our community’s safety.”
Loveless described the escalating issues at the Sudley Road shopping center in early to mid-2023: “Some regular panhandlers made this their shopping center of choice and worked the patrons as they parked.”

A series of disturbances at Brooke Point High School on Courthouse Road prompted a lockdown as law enforcement and school staff worked to address the situation and ensure the safety of students and staff.
The incident unfolded at 7:22 a.m. Monday, January 29, 2024, when Deputy D.J. Taylor, performing his School Resource Officer duties, was alerted to a large fight erupting in the cafeteria, according to the county’s sheriff’s office. Additional deputies were called in to assist with crowd control as they worked alongside school staff to separate the parties involved.
Sheetz, a well-known chain of gas stations and convenience stores, is seeking approval from the Prince William Board of County Supervisors to demolish and replace one of its early locations at 4021 Prince William Parkway in Dale City.
The company, owned by STEICO Incorporated, aims to demolish the existing structure and build a new gas station with a drive-through lane. To proceed with the work, it needs a special use permit (SUP) from the Prince William Board of County Superviosors. The county Planning Commission will take up the request at its meeting on February 7, 2024 in Woodbridge, open to the public.
