WOODBRIDGE, Va. – A woman was killed in a two-car crash Tuesday morning at a busy intersection in Woodbridge, police said.

The fatal collision happened just after 9:30 a.m. on Monday, May 27, at the intersection of Minnieville and Summit School roads. According to a preliminary investigation by Prince William County Police, the crash involved a 2020 Honda Accord and a 2021 Toyota Highlander.

Stafford

The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office invites the public to its next Coffee with a Cop tomorrow, Wednesday, May 28, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Paradise Diner, 260 Warrenton Road.

Community members, businesses, and organizations are encouraged to attend for a casual conversation with deputies. Attendees can ask questions, express concerns, and get to know the deputies serving their neighborhoods. Fredericksburg

The Fredericksburg school was chosen from applicants in 38 states to receive part of more than $1 million awarded this year. The funds will allow Walker-Grant Middle School to enhance its library offerings by purchasing new graphic novels, books in multiple languages, and updating its collection of essays.

The Laura Bush Foundation focuses on helping school libraries with the greatest need and aims to cultivate a love of reading among students. Since its launch in 2002, the foundation has provided $23 million in funding to more than 4,000 schools across the country.

OCCOQUAN, Va. – Leaf & Petal is welcoming customers to its new location at 204 Washington Street after celebrating a grand re-opening on Friday, May 23, 2025. 🌿

The shop has moved just around the corner from its former home at 201 Union Street, affectionately described as a “sweet little shop.” The new space carries a bit of local history — it’s where Ogle Harris began selling ice cream and later opened the Ogle Harris & Son grocery store in the early 1900s.
