A 15-year-old boy who was shot in the face in Dumfries a week ago has died. Now police are searching for a 17-year-old boy wanted for involuntary manslaughter in connection to his death.
Police tell us:

An innocent bystander was shot in the leg while at Marumsco Plaza in Woodbridge.
The shooting took place at 3:30 a.m. Sunday, August 8 following a fight that broke out between a 21-year-old man and two others.

David William Moore of Midlothian died 7/28/21 at the age of 66. He was born in Germany. As part of a military family, David lived in KS, MI, KY and NY before settling in VA. He was a graduate of Virginia Tech and a huge Hokies fan.
He loved fishing, Hokies football, church activities (at St. Paul UMC), Emmaus and Chrysalis ministries. He is survived by his father Lt. Col. (Ret.) Richard Moore, mother Shirley Moore both of Clifton, his wife April Moore of Midlothian, his daughter Aubrey Stalcup of Norfolk, his daughter Stephanie of Stafford.

Greetings, Prince William – Help adults improve their literacy skills! BEACON is preparing for their next session, August 23 thru November 10. Volunteers age 18+ are needed to be In-Person ESOL Teachers, Online ESOL Teachers, Tech Facilitators and Site Managers. No second language or previous experience is needed; training is provided. Historic Manassas Visitor Center needs volunteers age 18+ to work 4-hour shifts on weekdays, 9 am-1 pm and 1 pm-5 pm. Friendly customer service is required, as you will be the face of Historic Manassas. Duties include answering phones, providing information about Old Town businesses, shops, and restaurants, sharing historical information, and helping with special projects as needed. Training is provided. Working for the Visitor Center is a great way to connect to the City and be in the know of what is going on, along with helping out-of-town travelers navigate the downtown businesses.
