On March 4, detectives with the Special Victims Bureau began an investigation into a sexual assault that was reported to have occurred in multiple locations in the Woodbridge (22192) area of Prince William County between January 1997 and December 2000.

The investigation revealed the victim, who was between 9-13 years of age during the above timeframe, was sexually assaulted by a family member, identified as the accused, on more than one occasion. While investigating, detectives determined the accused sexually assaulted a second family member, who was between 8-12 years of age during the above timeframe, on more than one occasion. The incidents were recently reported prompting the police investigation.

From 1:30 to 3:30 a.m., the lanes will reverse again, fully reopening northbound at about 3:30 a.m.

Man charged with pulling knife on cops, medical, slashing tires on 33 cars

September 7 at 5:34PM, officers responded to the commuter lot located at 14090 Gemini Way in [Dale City] to investigate damage to numerous vehicles. The investigation revealed an unknown man slashed tires and damaged multiple vehicles in the lot before leaving the area on foot. Later that evening, officers responded to the 14700 block of Darbydale Ave. to assist rescue personnel with a man, later identified as the accused, who was possibly unconscious.

Stafford County detectives have made an arrest in a murder at a North Stafford apartment complex.

On Wednesday, September 7 at 10:36 p.m., deputies responded to a shooting on Declaration Drive. They arrived to find Anthony Jermaine Johnson, 45, of Stafford, on the ground in front of an apartment building suffering from a gunshot wound.

The FredNats roared back from an early 5-0 deficit to win for a fifth straight time Thursday at Carilion Clinic Field. The FredNats scored seven times in the final four innings to seal a 9-7 win.

TJ White provided the first spark for the comeback effort, blasting his 11th home run to reduce the Red Sox lead to 5-1 in the second. Will Frizzell picked up RBI singles in the fifth and sixth to further the comeback effort. An error following his second RBI base hit tied the game at 5-5 in the fifth.
