[Updated April 19] A 20-year-old woman was raped twice in her own home, police said.
At 12:25 p.m. on January 11, 2022, officers investigated a sexual assault at a home in the Dumfries area on October 13, 2021. The 20-year-old victim told police that an acquaintance was visiting early on the morning of October 13 when he went into the basement.
The hole is about a foot wide sinkhole and is “several feet deep in the travel lane of Harrell Road,” said Virginia Department of Transportation spokeswoman Darragh Frye.
The transportation agency assesses the situation and evaluates repair plans, adds Frye. VDOT is meeting with the Stafford County public utilities department later today to finalize and execute plans to fix the hole.

Authorities said a man was burning leaves in a fire pit at his home on Indian View Court in Aquia Harbour on Friday, April 15, 2022. The fire escaped to a nearby hillside where a live shotgun round was lying.
According to initial reports, the crash involves two vehicles. Emergency crews are evaluating a 20-year-old pregnant woman.
The Prince William County landfill and a recycling and composting facility near Manassas will reopen on Sundays.
The county landfill, at 14811 Dumfries Road (Route 234) and the Balls Ford Road Compost Facility, at 13000 Balls Ford Road near Manassas will reopen on Sundays starting April 24, 2022. Both facilities will operate from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays.
In honor of its grand opening, the church prepared 1,000 pounds of meat and invited the community to participate in its Great Banquet on Sunday, April 17, 2022.

According to town council meeting minutes taken on March 15, Krystyna Michelle Bienia resigned from the town council because she was moving out of the town limits, which means she could no longer serve as a policymaker for the small town on the Occoquan River.
Bienia was elected in November 2020 to serve on the six-member council. The Town Council is expected to discuss appointing a new member to finish Bienia’s term ending December 31, 2023. At its next meeting Tuesday, April 19, at 7 p.m. at town hall, councilmembers are expected to enter into a closed session meeting to discuss the appointment.
