MANASSAS PARK, Va. — A major residential project proposed just outside Manassas Park's borders is moving through its second round of review in Prince William County, and city leaders are taking a close look at the plan's potential impact on local roads and services.
Representatives from D.R. Horton, the developer behind the Mayfield Crossing project, and attorney Noah Klein of Venable LLP presented an updated site plan to the Manassas Park Governing Body during its April 15, 2025, meeting. The project site, approximately 20 acres located at the intersection of Manassas Drive and Signal View Drive, is nearly surrounded by Manassas Park city limits.

The Prince William Board of County Supervisors will convene on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at 7 p.m. to deliberate and vote on a proposed residential development in the Coles Magisterial District. The project, known as Bradley South, seeks to rezone approximately 10.15 acres of land from A-1 (Agricultural) to PMR (Planned Mixed Residential) to allow for the construction of 102 townhomes.
The site is on the east side of Dumfries Road (Route 234), about 115 feet northeast of the intersection with Godwin Drive, near Manassas, near a newly-opened interchange with Prince William Parkway.

The Fredericksburg Area Builder’s Association (FABA) held their annual Bourbon & Oysters meeting at Spotsylvania’s A. Smith Bowman Distillery on September 12 to network and discuss upcoming industry needs.
Karl Eckhardt, Vice President of State and Local Government Affairs at the National Association of Home Builders, discussed his efforts to engage with local and state governments, emphasizing the importance of advocacy in addressing housing development challenges. He discussed the hurdles posed by new Housing and Urban Development (HUD) energy regulations and the national shortage of skilled labor needed for home construction. Eckhardt also highlighted upcoming tax reforms that could impact small businesses and shared his outlook on potential shifts in Congress after the next election. He stressed the importance of financial support for FABA’s Political Action Committee (PAC) to help support legislative decisions in favor of the housing industry.Â
