Updated 10:55 a.m. — A woman is hospitalized after she was reduced from a burning home in Dumfries.

Fire and rescue crews responded to a 2-alarm townhouse blaze in the Williamstown neighborhood at about 7:30 a.m. The woman was pulled from the home’s second floor and flown to an area hospital.

Her condition is unknown.

The fire occurred at a home in the 3600 block of Dahlgren Place. The cause remains under investigation.

This morning units were dispatched to the 3600 blk of Dalhgreen Place (Dumfries) for a report of a person trapped inside a townhouse on fire. A second alarm was requested with the report of a person trapped. Crews arrived with heavy smoke on the first and second floor. After a quick size-up, the victim was found in an upstairs bedroom and a working fire in the basement. Crews protected the victim in-place until the adult female could be lowered to the ground utilizing an aerial ladder. The victim was transported to a regional burn center via helicopter with serious injuries. The fire was quickly extinguished. The structure sustained moderate damage. Minimal damage to one (1) adjoining townhouse. The Red Cross is assisting the four (4) displaced adult occupants. The cause is under investigation.

The Fire Marshal’s Office would like to remind everyone, smoke detectors save lives. Working smoke detectors provide your best means of escaping a fire in your home. Smoke detectors provide the early warning needed to escape a fire in your home. Smoke detectors should be tested monthly, and batteries changed as recommended.

Steven Liga will serve as the grand marshal for the Dumfries Christmas Parade on Main Street.

The annual event will take place Saturday, December 10, 2022. The parade will march from town hall south on Main Street toward Triangle Shopping Plaza.

Bank of America robbery suspect caught on camera.

Prince William police posted about several robberies that took place this past weekend, November 17 to 20.

Bank Robbery Investigation - On November 19 at 9:19AM, officers responded to the Bank of America located at 8501 Sudley Rd in Manassas (20110) to investigate a robbery. The investigation revealed an unknown man entered the bank and approached a teller where he passed a note demanding money and implying he was armed with a firearm. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money and fled the bank. Officers and a police K-9 searched the area for the suspect who was not located. No injuries were reported.

Prince William police today report two instances of assault and battery on law enforcement officers.

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] | Falsely Summoning Law Enforcement - On November 17 at 3:07PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 14700 block of Birchdale Ave. in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate the report of a domestic-in-progress. Upon arriving at the residence, officers made contact with a 40-year- old male resident and determined there was no active domestic between the caller, identified as the accused, and the resident. While investigating the incident, officers determined a separate incident occurred earlier in the day where the accused struck the male resident. When officers attempted to take her into custody, the accused actively resisted and refused to follow officer's commands. Officers quickly secured the accused and as they were escorting her to the police vehicle she kneed an officer. The accused was resecured, and no injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Pamela Lynn GOSS, was arrested.

Detectives have charged 24-year-old Desmond Malcolm Daniel, 24, of 2900 Shumard Oak Drive, #201, in Woodbridge, in connection to a double murder that occurred at a residence in the 17400 block of Isle Royale Terrace near Dumfries on Wednesday, November 16.

The suspect was subsequently located by Virginia State Police and Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority police in a parking lot at Dulles International Airport, where he was detained without incident.

A man broke into a home near Dumfries and shot and killed a man and a woman, marking the county's 17th and 18th homicide victims of 2022.

On Wednesday, November 16, at 11:16 p.m., officers were called to a home 17400 block of Isle Royale Terrace in the Forest Park neighborhood off Van Buren Road near Dumfries to investigate a shooting.

Two adults, a man and woman were shot inside the basement by a man who had forced his way into the residence. A family dog, a male Pitbull mix, inside the home was also shot, police said.

Detectives have identified the man found, shot, and killed in a vehicle in the area of Morgan Court and Old Triangle Road in Dumfries on Saturday, November 12.

Demetrious Levar Graham, 44, of Woodbridge,  was found by police shortly after 5:30 a.m. in the driver's seat of a vehicle after receiving multiple calls of shots fired in the area.

Les Souliers Du Shores aims to open in Liberty Village, 17606 Main Street, and plans to serve children between the ages of three and five. The business will have at least three employees.

Updated -- Neighbors in Prince William County's Williamstown neighborhood heard gunfire and called police at about 5:30 a.m.

Officers arrived and found a man inside a car suffering multiple gunshot wounds. Multiple bullets pierced the car, parked on Morgan Court in Dumfries.

The unidentified victim was pronounced dead. An investigation is ongoing.
