Two women rescued from a burning Manassas townhouse have died from their injuries, officials confirmed Monday.
Firefighters were dispatched at 1:37 p.m. to the 7900 block of Flager Circle, where heavy smoke was pouring from a three-story townhouse. Crews learned that two adult females were trapped on the second floor. Firefighters rushed inside, carried the victims down the stairs, and brought them outside for treatment. Both were transported to a nearby hospital but later died.
Prince William County police are thanking local partners and residents after another successful Santa Cops fundraiser and shopping event that spread holiday cheer across the community.
The annual program, run in partnership with the Fraternal Order of Police Battlefield Lodge 43, local businesses, and volunteer organizations, helps provide holiday gifts and essentials to area children. The police department shared its gratitude on Facebook following the conclusion of Part II of the event.
A 17-year-old male from Springfield was arrested for malicious wounding after a stabbing incident at Orchard Mills Apartments in Woodbridge. The incident occurred during a gathering on November 30, where the accused stabbed a 16-year-old male multiple times. Another juvenile also suffered a minor injury. Both victims were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
In another incident, a strong-arm robbery occurred at Smoketown Station shopping center in Woodbridge. A 37-year-old man was approached by a woman who entered his vehicle and demanded money. The suspect, identified as Georgina Megan Regazzi, 27, was later arrested.
Units responded around 1:30 p.m. to the 7900 block of Flager Circle and found a three-story townhouse with a fire spreading from the garage. Firefighters were told that two people were trapped on the upper floor and needed immediate help. Crews entered the home, located the victims, and safely rescued them.
All three occupants—two rescued from inside the home and another—were transported to a nearby medical facility. Their conditions have not been released.
Prince William County supervisors will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, December 16, on a proposed countywide fund that would provide grants to homeowners and homeowner associations facing costly soil and foundation repairs.
The hearing is scheduled for 2 p.m. at the Prince William County Government Center, 1 County Complex Court, in Woodbridge. The Board of County Supervisors is expected to hear public comment and may vote on whether to adopt the ordinance following the hearing.
A Dale City resident who regularly bikes along Minnieville Road noticed a visible sign of change this week: a new traffic signal going up along the busy corridor.
“Took these pictures today at about 1–2 p.m. on my bike ride on Minnieville Road. Maybe newsworthy,” wrote Kevin Parker, who stopped to photograph construction crews erecting the signal. “If so, I would be happy to see you use one or more of them.”
The Prince William County Democratic Committee and the Stafford Democratic Committee will hold an unassembled caucus on Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2025, to select the Democratic nominee for the 23rd District seat in the Virginia House of Delegates.
Voting will take place from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. at two locations: the Dumfries Community Center, 17757 Main St. in Prince William County, and Porter Branch Library, Room 3, 2001 Parkway Blvd. in Stafford County.
Police officers responded to a call about shots fired in the 17200 block of Wexford Loop in Dumfries late on December 9. The homeowner confronted a man suspected of attempting to steal from his vehicle. During the encounter, a gunshot was reportedly heard, but no injuries or property damage occurred.
The suspect, described as a black male in his late teens to early 20s, wearing dark clothing and a light-colored beanie, fled the scene on foot. No weapon was seen, and no evidence of a shooting was found. The homeowner’s car keys, believed to be in the vehicle, were missing.
