The incident occurred the night of November 6, when a girl under 18 walked away from the Youth for Tomorrow facility on Hazel Circle Drive. Near Golf Academy Drive and Nokesville Road, she approached a man parked nearby. Police say the man pulled a knife, forced her into his red 2003 Ford Escape, and sexually assaulted her multiple times before she escaped and got help from bystanders.
