The Center Square: “Virginia Congresswoman Jennifer Wexton said Monday she will not be seeking reelection, citing health concerns.”
“The third-term Democrat previously announced she was battling Parkinson’s Disease and receiving treatments. After further testing amid unresponsive treatment, Wexton disclosed she had been diagnosed with Progressive Supra-nuclear Palsy, type-p. The congresswoman said the disease is characterized as “’Parkinson’s on steroids.’”

One could say it was fate that the restaurant came to be. The owners, Jorge Contreras and Edin Lopez, who went to the same elementary school in Guatemala, bumped into each other at an apartment complex in Falls Church.
Prince William Police Department: “Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On September 17 at 11:22 p.m., officers responded to the 1400 block of Cherry Hill Road in Dumfries to investigate a shots fired call. The investigation revealed multiple gunshots were heard in the area. While investigating the incident, officers located shell casings and a gun light. No injuries or property damage were reported.”
“Rape Investigation – On September 17 at 11:39 p.m., officers responded to the Linden Park Apartments located in the 3600 block of Jurgensen Drive in Triangle to investigate a domestic dispute. The investigation revealed the victim, a 43-year-old woman, was sexually assaulted by an acquaintance, identified as the accused, while inside the apartment. The victim was eventually able to separate from the accused and police were contacted. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Daniel ROSAS GONZALEZ, was arrested. Arrested on September 17: Daniel ROSAS GONZALEZ, 28, of the 3600 block of Jurgensen Drive in Triangle. Charged with rape. Court Date: Pending | Bond: Held WITHOUT Bond.”
U.S. Department of Justice: “On September 7, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia entered a judgment that ordered Bernice Suppey, 40, and Kwaku Adubofour, 42, of Woodbridge, to pay $336,356 based on their fraudulent applications for multiple loans through the Small Business Administration’s (SBA) Paycheck Protection Program (PPP).”
“The PPP offered loans to eligible small businesses for economic relief during the COVID-19 pandemic. PPP borrowers were required to provide their income and supporting documents to calculate and confirm the loan amount. ”
Prince William County Government: “During their meeting this afternoon, the Board of County Supervisors unanimously voted to extend the tax payment due date for the vehicle classification of tangible personal property by 90 days.”
“Normally, the vehicle classification of the tangible personal property tax payments is due by October 5 of the calendar year. The approved extension means that the vehicle personal property tax for tax year 2023 will now be due on Jan. 3, 2024.”

“Abduction | Gang Participation [Previously Released] – On October 25, detectives with the Northern Virginia Regional Gang Task Force (NVRGTF) concluded an investigation into a gang related abduction that was reported to have occurred in the area of Rixlew Lane and Sudley Road in Manassas (20109) on May 7. The investigation revealed the victim, a 17-year-old male, was riding a bicycle in the above area when he was approached by a vehicle occupied by several acquaintances. During the encounter, the occupants of the vehicle surrounded the victim before one of the suspects brandished a handgun and made threats towards the victim. The suspects prevented the victim from leaving the area before eventually fleeing in the vehicle. No injuries were reported and no property was taken. During the investigation, detectives were able to identify three of the suspects as members of the criminal street gang Mara Salvatrucha, commonly known as MS-13. Following the investigation, two of the suspects were located and arrested on October 25. One of the suspects, now identified as an 18-year-old male, is being charged as a juvenile since he was 17-years-old at the time of the incident. Attempts to locate a third suspect, identified as a 15-year-old male, have been unsuccessful. All parties were known to one another. The investigation continues”
“Burglary while Armed *ARREST [Previously Released] – On December 4, one of the suspects wanted in connection to the home invasion that was reported to have occurred in the Westgate Apartments located in the 10100 block of Portsmouth Road in Manassas (20109) on July 7, was arrested. The suspect, Dimitrie Donnell EATON, was arrested in the Manassas area without incident. Attempts to locate the additional suspect, Terrell Majid KELLY, have been unsuccessful. The case remains active as detectives attempt to identify the other suspects involved in the incident.” “Burglary while Armed *SUSPECTS IDENTIFIED [Previously Released] – Detectives with the Violent Crimes Unit identified the suspects in connection to the home invasion that was reported to have occurred in the Westgate Apartments located in the 10100 block of Portsmouth Road in Manassas (20109) on July 7. Following the investigation, detectives obtained arrest warrants for two men, identified as Dimitrie Donnell EATON and Terrell Majid KELLY. Attempts to locate either suspect have been unsuccessful. The case remains active as detectives attempt to identify the other suspects involved in the incident.” “Burglary while Armed [Previously Released] On July 7 at 6:42 p.m., officers responded to the Westgate Apartments located in the 10100 block of Portsmouth Road in Manassas (20109) to investigate a home invasion. Residents of the apartment reported to police that four men forced their way into the apartment when a resident opened the door to the apartment after hearing a knock. During the encounter, the suspects brandished firearms and then assaulted the victim, identified as an 18-year-old man. The suspects took a cell phone, shoes, and money before leaving the residence. The victim reported minor injuries. This incident does not appear to be random. The investigation continues.”
